Why didnt DLH make any adjustments throughout the fight?

It was apparent early on that Pac was faster and landing better than expected. Pac was outboxing DLH, staying on the outsided and jumping in and out.

After a few rounds of being thoroughly outboxed why didnt DLH's corner go for broke and brawl with him, try to take advantage of his larger size, his good chin and test Manny's?

He seemed too afraid of being hit with Manny's counters, but at that point that was only his real shot of winning. He would have had to take that strategy and take a few shots to land his own. His heart isnt in it anymore.

When SRL was being outboxed by Hearns, he didnt give up, he took risks and made it a more physical fight and gave everythign he had and ended up winning.

Because he was shot and was unable to make adjustments. He couldn't even throw a decent jab. His body wouldn't let him. That's like asking why Tyson was unable to bob and weave against Lewis, Williams or McBride. he was shot, he couldn't do the things he was able to do in his prime.

You can't compare a prime SRL to DLH anyways, not a prime DLH and especially not a shot DLH. SRL was on another level than DLH.

My uncle's co-worker is 5'11" and 190lbs. He always said Pac would win because he had the priviledge of sparring with Pac. And he said for a small guy, he really felt Pac's power and couldn't believe it.

Oscar tried the first two rounds. But everytime he tried he got tagged. Oscar obviously got so tired with the shots he was taking and throwing random shots would just waste more of his energy. I wasn't sure Pac could handle Osacr's left hook, but thankfully, he was quick enough and never got tagged with it.

He tried to adjust. He started to try and counter punch but either way Pac was too much for him. Too quick, that left was landing at will. DLH looked like absolute ****.

Just saw a fight and... did Oscar took a dive ?? Pacman may be strong for his size, but cmon Oscar was just covering up like he was beeing atacked by Margaritos bodyshots, he never did anything stupid like that fightin big guys like roided Mosley, bhop, Mayorga, Vargas... I still cant believe its possible to get shot in one fight like that. Its either a dive from Oscar or Manny became superman overnight ( wasnt he the one getting tagged and forced to move back by JMM). Call me hater or anything (was actualy cheering for Pacman) but fight looked fixed..... Dont get me wrong I think Pac can dominate 135 division and be one of the best if not THE best in 140th but bashing ~160 dude like that who was in the game for so long...

I said the same thing last night as I rejoiced at Denny's for Pacman's miracle win...

but dude seriously...watch the fight again...DLH had FEAR in his eyes...he looked scared...even if the fight is fixed...you don't look scared while doing it...

DLH was just nervous...B-Hop whispered to him before the fight started..."Relax...you're the champ...just relax"...that's too much to think about as far as convincing the public into thinking it wasn't fixed

DLH just couldn't do it against a younger and faster guy...I think the weight had much to do with it as well...NO ONE! expected DLH to come in weighing LESS than Pacman...people were expecting him to be as much as 20 lbs heavier...or at LEAST 154...he came in at the limit...and THAT was when i knew something was wrong with DLH

Not even the Teddy Atlas curse helped DLH in this one...Atlas actually predicted correctly in saying..."He always manages to find a way to ruin his own fight"

Those shots were doing way more damage than it seemed at the time, hence he was tired really quickly. It made Hoya hesitant to throw, and he's never been one than can just walk through punches like Margarito, even though he has a good chin.
