    Thanks wisemanking......

I think Eubank would sneak a decision against Toney in the UK...... maybe lose in the US on points

Eubank would beat Bubb...... but struggle against Mccallum.....

Mike Mccallum was the most underated fighter..... he beat Herol Graham, Watson and Collins

Eubank had a better chance vs. Toney. Benn's aggressive style would have been chewed up and spat out. You can't try and knock this guy out. He would have absorbed whatever Benn brought early. When he got close he would have countered him at mid-range/inside, and Toney was a big puncher at 168.

Eubank's more awkward style would have helped him. It's better to try and outbox Toney. His most inconsistent performances were against outboxers.

Nunn and Toney were never seriously on the radar of Benn or Eubank .. Eubank signed an incredible 6 or 8 (cant quite remember how many) fight deal with SKY at that point, that basically means that SKY didnt want to put him in with any opponent that had a chance of beating him, at least until the last fight of his contract. Thats the problem with boxers who sign long term deals with TV companies, it was the same with Naz .. Naz and Eubank may have wanted to fight dangerous opponents but SKY and HBO called the shots on they're career's and they took the money ..
Also there was a lot of money on offer 'domestically' for Eubank and Benn that they didnt need to risk fighting Toney or Nunn ..
Nunn was supposed to fight the winner of the Benn/Eubank re-match, he was at ringside and it was called a draw .. I thought that was dodgy at the time, Benn clearly won by a couple of rounds for me and im certain that was a politically corrupt decision in that both fighters were able to keep they're belts for other 'big money' nights. A total disgrace !!
In my opinion Benn and Eubank would have been beaten by Nunn, knocked out by Toney and totally wiped out against Jones Jr in that particular super-middle era. While it was a good domestic era, America was loaded with superior fighters at that time and i'll add Mike McCallum to that list.
McCallum took care of Graham, Watson and Collins easily, it doesnt take a huge imagination that he would have done the same to Benn and Eubank .. My view on McClellan is that he was a dynamite puncher who always had a very loose defence, yeah he was destructive but like alot of destructive/bully punchers he had alot of flaws. And a lot of the generated hype for McClellan was based on alot of 1 round ko's (like Tyson, at that point everyone was searching for the next Tyson) and the Julian Jackson wins.
McClellan hadnt been tested by a real quality fighter like Nunn, Toney, Jones or Mccallum ..

Eubank and Benn would both have beaten the Nunn who lost to Stephen Johnson (rip) and the Toney outscored by Drake Thadzi (!!) and Montel Griffin. Just because they didn't take the step up doesn't mean they couldn't. Eub and Benn weren't immobile heavys or Iran Barkley or Prince Charles Williams who had horrible defences and would happily stand and trade their guts with any opponents skills.

I am not usually wrong about these things and I think any sincere and honest appraisal would realise that all guys at the top of their game both Nunn and Toney would beat Benn and Eubank. Even by their own admission Benn and Eubank really did not fancy it. Toney had way to much for both guys

Although i think eubank gives toney a good run he gets outpointed, Benn gets stopped by both imo.Buncey made a big deal on his show about eubank and benn being avoided by these two and jones jnr, when eubank appeared on the show.I like buncey, but on this subject he's full of shite, they were'nt scared one little bit !

It does seem he ducked both in favour of taking easy fights and building up a big bank balance.Toney was pushing for a fight at one time but Eubank did not seem interested.I also remember Benn saying on the radio"no way,no chance" when asked if he was going to fight mccallum.

I think at Middleweight Eubank could have beaten anyone.

RJJ would have had some serious problems fighting Eubank at this weight
