I admit I don't know but doesn't make sense that he weighed in at 150 lbs, 30 days before the fight and 160 lbs on the night. Also weighed around 150 lbs for the 7 day weigh in. Could see him beig around 150-155 lbs as maybe they weighed him after a workout.
Didn't even see your post untill now so many threads on the same topic and Floyd and Manny in general.
He only discloses his weight when he knows for sure that his opponent looks at least 12-15 pounds above weight class. Why do I think this? So he can everybody out there know that he's fighting a considerably larger man and get credit for that alone no matter how much a bum he is. I wouldn't be surprised if he insists his opponent steps on the scale first then he decides if he will weigh himself or not.
Not really sure why. He rarely puts on much weight after fights and was at 150 a month before the fight. He wasn't outweighed by Maidana by 15 lbs like in the first fight, but he probably still weighed a little less. Possibly. He didn't mind weighing in on fight-night up until the DLH fight (who after being outweighed by Mosley in 2000, never allowed HBO to weigh in on fight night until the Pacquiao fight in 2008) in 2007, and then he stopped allowing it with the exceptions of Ortiz & Maidana, when he weighed much less than those two opponents. I don't remember if Showtime showed the fight night weights against Canelo, but I remember reading that Canelo outweighed him 165 to 150. Some of those fights before DLH, the fight night weights were close and Floyd didn't seem to mind and still weighed in. Except for the Gatti fight, since Gatti refused to allow himself to be weighed on fight night after the Gamache travesty.
