Mayweather was with HBO, Tyszu with Showtime. Tyszu was injured for years came back against his mandatory Shamba Mitchell. He took the biggest money offer after than, which was Hatton. The plan was for Tyszu and Mayweather to unify after Tyszu-Hatton and FMJ-Gatti, but Tyszu lost and retired. Mayweather tried to fight Hatton in Nov2005, Hatton wanted more time/money so Mayweather moved to 147

tszyu was a very good fighter but also very overrated imo. mayweather would have had an easy night with kostya.

Because Tszyu was the most dangerous fight at 140 and Mayweather doesnt like dangerous fights.

Mayweather was always calling out DLH. Certainly that was as dangerous of a fight, and offered a far larger payday dont you think?

Floyd just dicked around at 140. That was a pretty disappointing stage of his career.

PP is pretty spot on, I think Lewis and Tyson were in the same situation but the networks worked through it as the fight was so big. I think Kostya would of had a good chance (still the underdog), before a fought Hatton, maybe two years earlyer.

PP nailed it. Too bad, too...I would've pegged Tszyu to knock Mayweather out because he's just a horrible matchup for Floyd. Kostya's timing was phenomenal and he's absolute kryptonite to fast, defensive fighters.
