Im not saying his legs are completely shot, im thinking if he might be slower in his legs then he was before, im not sure though he very well might still have great legs, I wish he would have fought another fight so we could have gotten a better perspective. Floyd didnt need to put pressure on shane, If he boxes against baldomir I dont think he would try to bully mosley it doesnt seem logical for a man with a very good ring iq, right? Ihope he fights someone in 2011 I want to see some other things as well:p.

I kind of agree but I just wish we didn't have to leave it to "would have, could have, should have" with Floyd. I just wish he would have fought one of these guys in their prime and could put the debate to bed.

...But, you, for the Floyd fight, said "for the first 3 rounds after that mosley was no threat anyway." So the only thing that would lead you to that assumption would be the fights before then... Nobody's trying to sell Shane as prime in any way. It's a a debate whether or not he's still formidable. I say he is though I can still see the things he's lost. I do believe that bad style match-ups of the last two fights may be an optical illusion, to a degree. I don't feel there's anything wrong with his stamina, even if it's not what it used to be. He's just been in with guys that are wrong for him. I suspect that anyway, I don't claim to know.

I honestly think you put him in there with a fighter of his dimensions (not a Mora) and someone who's of the mix-it-up style (certainly not a Mayweather) and he may look absolutely different. If Shane took a tuneup before Pacquiao with a guy like, say, had he not fought Berto, Hernandez, I think he'd have wrecked his ass and everyone would be running around going "Shane is back!" instead of fighting Mora and going "Shane is shot to ****!". Shane's lost plenty, sure, but I still say he's a dangerous fighter as long as you're in the ring with him. It seems like Mora knew that too...

Also, I didn't see the Mayorga fight the way you did at all.

His legs aren't gone, but he's definitely slowed down a bit. All that extra muscle he packed on + age will do that. What he did against Mosley was just their gameplan going in. They got that from watching the Winky - Mosley fights. Like I said, it was a dumb strategy bc if Shane was on that night he would have bombed Floyd out of there. He got old overnight though, plain and simple.

No, you're twisting my words. I said that I was a bit worried during round 2 of the Floyd vs. Shane fight. I have absolutely zero concerns about a Mayweather vs. Pacquiao fight, nor do I have any concerns about a Khan or Berto fight. There is nobody out there right now that can beat Floyd. Perhaps Martinez at 160, but below that, nobody can touch him.

Nah Floyd schooled him. He walked Shane down and and took his soul. Shane would never beat Floyd and he knew it thats why he didn't want the fight back when HBO was begging him to take it back in 05, 06.

    Nazim's trainer predicted the outcome.

Yeah good points. I'm with you too, I wish Floyd fought more often so we can gauge what would happen

I actually enjoyed that Mayweather performance on the whole more than any he's had since stepping up to 147. He looked very powerful. To me, looked the strongest since the Mitchell fight.

I personally believe Floyd took a two year retirement too
    1)Fill out in weight
    2)Let his hands heal

He's grown into 147 extremely well and it's obvious. Take a look at the Hatton fight and he looks so small. Hatton even looks bigger and he moved up in weight. Mayweather was sitting down on punches vs Mosley.....and believe me Mosley felt his power. If Mosley wasn't clinching he would never have survived.

Fair enough, he might still easily beat fighters below the top but guys like pacquiao will cause the same problem, I have the feeling he will go along with pacquiao's fast pace and therefore gas quicker, he will always have the punchers chance especially in the beginning.

I agree with that also. he had plenty of injuries. I remember in the Hatton 24/7 that he had back problems, shoulder issues and his hand and he needed time to recover

He actually said BEFORE the fight that he would "press the attack" ...

than a bunch of people laughed and said something to the sort of, "lmfao, he'll win, but he wont be the one coming forward"...

So it was his plan all along, yes....he even said it going into the fight:hat

Why would Shane lose confidence over this? When you say wasn't even able to score a KD you are making it sound like that should have discouraged Mosley. It didn't seem like that at all, that shot hurt Mayweather BADLY, Mayweather held on to Mosley with a vice like grip, one or two more shots and it could have been over.

Many times a fighter gets hurt by a punch and is able to hold on and/or not go down, then they either take more punches and get KO'd or KD or they are able to recover/round ends. It still looks worse than many knockdowns. That's the type of situation this was, a fighter that was badly hurt and possibly close to being KO'd but was able to hold on and not go down.

I don't see how Mosley landing a good shot on Mayweather, and seeing that he can badly hurt him is gonna discourage him, if anything it should have given him more confidence. If Mosley expected to win the fight on one punch and then not try anymore if he fails after landing a great one and even hurting Floyd badly, then he was beaten before the fight even started.
