Look man, I love Usyk. But please stop man lol, your talking about Lennox Lewis. Lewis would stop Usyk. Lennox is the number 1 of all the Hw’s before him and so far after him.
Hmm, one is reminded of the old story of the old bull and the young bull. The young bull says to the old bull, as he looks out upon a field of cows: "Why don't we run down there and screw one of these cows?" And the old bull says to the young bull "Why don't we walk past them and taint ourselves with something to get 'Nelo in trouble when he eats us, instead?" The rest is history.
Usyk's power is super underrated, he almost got Joshua AND Fury out of there, had them running around everywhere to survive.
Usyk is not a huge puncher but he can punch. He doesn't sit down on most of his punches and just makes contact. When he does punch with authority it comes as a surprise.
Belly, AJ or whoever try to walk Usyk down and lead and they get punished with big accurate counters This content is protected This content is protected
I will take my hat off to Fury in one respect: he made it a fight and didn't hang all over Usyk like a wet blanket. He could have taken the usual route guys that "fight tall" take and hugged (or tried to) Usyk to death. But he did not and as a result it was a cracker of a fight.
Lewis is my top 5 favorite fighters. But tell me a single fighter Lewis has fought that was southpaw. Let alone even 20% of Usyk skill set. I'm listening. As fighting southpaw is a lot different than fighting an orthodox fighter, you know?
The first clip was from Round 7 if i'm not wrong, yet some people think Fury won that round, when Usyk essentially smashed him that round, and Round 7 turned the table, not round 8. Btw, how you make the This content is protected
I haven't watched it back yet but I only gave Belly four rounds Replace the ''x'' with ''twitter'' https://x.com/agaliciadiaz1/status/1420242698770866184
Because Fury calls him that to make fun of his physical size while deep down Fury knows hes the bigger guy in heart. He was too timid out there and tried to shrug it off with his charlatan play to the crowd antics.
Thank you. After rewatching it, you will give him less, you will see. Make sure to turn the idiotic commentators off.
All these big "super heavyweights" are terrified of actually imposing their size and will on a smaller opponent with decent skill. Scared of running into a counter, scared of actually getting outboxed and made a fool of on the inside, scared of running out of gas as they become more aggressive, etc. The hell is the point of being 6'5 and 240+ if you're too scared to actually use all that mass to bully a smaller opponent...? It's ridiculous. Everyone wants to just jab, cover up, back away, throw a few flurries, clinch, jab, clinch , repeat and they refuse to open up or take chances. Fury even had Usyk hurt and rocked him on at least 2-3 different occasions but wouldn't press the issue. Joshua did the same thing against Usyk as well as Takam. They want to fall back on the judges.
He tried, but Usyk didn't allow him. If was possible, he would have stink the place out of it. But you cannot just clinch a constantly moving target, as he is just no there and you will get countered badly. And this was clear even in the 9th., where Fury was badly hurt, and Andy Lee was showing him to hold for dear life, but he couldn't.
