Why didn't GGG think of fighting Kovalev, or something similar?

Do you really want to go there I mean do you? I can post Ward's resume and GGG's and embarrass you if you like? Those guys you mentioned most of which are much better than the likes of Rosado, Rolls, Wade, and Monroe and 98% of GGG's opponents. Bika for example is clearly without a doubt better than any of them and would be arguably GGG's 2nd best win yet he's not even in Ward's top 5 wins. That right there tells how trash GGG's resume is when compared to Ward. Ward > GGG deal with it.

 

175 fights.

1. Blown up 160 fighter Paul Smith, not even the top 5 in Britain at 160/168, let alone 175......goes 9rds.

2.Sullivan Barrerra; top 10 LH very good performance, although couldn’t resist hitting him low on several occasions.

3. Alexander Brand; Not even a top 30 fighter at 168, let alone 175 and had been dispatched with 18oz gloves on in sparring by Gvozdyk prior to going the full 12 withWard.

4. Kovalev 1; Ward lost but got a gift.

5. Kovalev 2; Ward/Hunter/JDJ showed the snakes they where prior to an awful stoppage.

Not really moving straight up is it kid and not very impressive.

As for @Pimp C ”liking” your comment someone could post Ward gets found in bed stuck up a cat and he’d still “like” the post and try to convince everyone Ward was daring to be great or some crap like that.

 

Explain how Bika would be GGG’s 2nd best win, I’m all ears.

 

First we must establish who's GGG's 2nd best win and that would be Martin Murray. Bika actually won a world title Murray didn't. I would say Bika is on par with Murray he gave most of his elite opponents that he faced good tough fights and faced better opposition as well.

I’ve never said Murray was GGG second best opponent, but if he was for this argument who has Bika which fighters has Bika beaten that are better? Periban is his only stand out win and perhaps a draw with Dirrell, the same Dirrell who got shafted against Froch.

 

On 'official' wins, I guess it's probably Lemieux, Murray or Geale. They're all around the same kinda level (solid fighters, not great ones). If he beats Sergei D in a couple of weeks though I'd say it has to be him.I see some similarities with his resume to Spence's actually. A host of decent\solid wins but lacking real good ones. Jacobs is a good win and if you count one of the ones against Canelo then that's a quality win too. But on proper official terms, I don't think it's a resume that illustrates how good a fighter he is. And with the number of fights on his DAZN deal and his age, I'd be shocked if he doesn't take a nasty KO loss at some stage.

 

Bika fought much better opposition than Murray did and he always gave guys hell. Bika arguably beat Dirrell BTW that was not Andre Dirrell it was his brother Anthony, the better one is who he drew with.

 

I like Chenko and picked him to beat Jacobs but Jacobs is better than him since he beat him. Jacobs would still be GGG's best win Chenko would be his second best IMO.

 

Yes you are correct, I remember that’s the same guy who went 12 with Rubio right after GGG swept him away in 2.

 

Oh I agree on that part. Jacobs' run post GGG was actually pretty decent
