Why didn't Hatton just use Lee Beard instead of wasting Floyd Sr's time?

It's very obvious that he spent more time listening to Beard than Floyd Sr., who is obviously the superior trainer. I have never seen a Floyd Sr fighter fight that sloppy. Hatton used Beard's gameplan & paid dearly for it

Fight was tooooo short to judge for sure.
But Mayweather Sr./Hatton should have never been anyway, IMO

    bad mix.
But still Hatton was the one who got KTFO, not Sr.

Difference would it of made? He would of still been knocked out or beat regardless.

Floyd Sr got PAID, and, if I made the money he did off this fight, Hatton could waste my time too.

    Would have made little difference.

Roach called it right after the fight, Hatton makes the same mistakes over and over and fights the same way all the time.

Hatton would have still left himself wide open to a huge left hand - he could'nt take Pac's punches.

Hatton fought the dumbest defensive fight I've ever seen. Not that he was ever a genius at defense, but if you compare this to how he handled, say, his fight against Tackie where he stayed on the outside and boxed, this was a huge step backward.

He fought like a drunken cowboy. In fact, I'll say May Sr. has been bad for Hatton, because he also fought a **** defensive fight against Paulie -- only Paulie had no power to capitalize.

    Eff Mayweather Sr.

And Hatton, you should retire now. It's better to be drunk than punch drunk.

Whole thing was Hattons fault. He didnt listen to the gameplan and didnt respect Pacs punching power. Lee Beard was pissed off at Floyd because he was doing orthodox pads all the time which was pointless and you could tell during the fight, all of his jabs were flying past pacs right side.

even if beard was pissed doesnt he have to respect what the head trainer is doing?

Yea you suppose to respect what the head trainer says when his ideas make 10% sense, not when it doesnt make no sense at all i.e. orthodox pads.

That was just one of Beard's many gripes with Mayweather. Beard had Hatton's ear and subsequently ruined the camp and Hatton's chances in the fight itself.

    The guy is a tool.

You cannot teach an old dog new tricks. No one could have prevented the brutal knockout.

I agree with the majority of post on this board - Hatton is gone, that is difficult for me to say, I have photos of the guy on my games room wall - he's a hero or mine, given me some of my best nights watching boxing - top fighter, definately! Elite - no, but there is no shame in that! He's given us a lot of Joy. Retire Ricky, count your money and live the life you crave. Much love dude!
