Why didn't Juggernaut manage to protect his eye?

Because Joe has always defended the punches with his face. He has always been a very limited fighter and Zhang exposed his limitations. Joe is a seriously likeable bloke but he has been ridiculously overrated. I think all top HWs (Usyk, Fury, Joshua, Ruiz) would beat him with ease. He is useful against the Parkers of the world but that's about it.

 

He seemed to lack the ring IQ to do so. But let’s not take anything away from Zhang, as he landed those same straight lefts on Hrgovic.
