Why didnt Korobov have success as Loma/GGG/Kova?!

    Hes roughly same age as those guys

    Besides Loma, he was a better amateur then Kova & GGG

    Amateur Ws over Jacbos, Usyk, Drevychenko

    When TopRank signed him he was supposed to be a superstar for them
    ...

    His career never panned out tho

    Not the most exciting style, a stylistic nightmare for most and he was poorly managed. And add to that suffering the setback to Lee, it was all the perfect recipe for him to be put on the backburner, and sadly forgotten. Korobov deserved a better career, fingers crossed, he can milk his should have been a win over Charlo for everything its worth, and get some traction, but sadly, that performance will probably lead to him being avoided even more.

    Because of Lee's dynamite right hook.

    He was on a similar course up until that title shot. Derailed him.

    Andy Lee. Let’s face it is obvious the American promoters don’t want these Eatern Euro guys to do well, I guess they don’t sell, or they may take their careers back over seas with the belts, who knows but they never get a fair shake on the cards. Once this guy was ko’d by Lee that’s it for him- blackballed. Lee gave them the excuse.

    Well losing to Lee is very bad, the same guy Chavez Jr beat down

    I believe Korobov is PBC

    Hopefully a fight with Drevy??? Should.be easy to make

    This is true. It's not just American promoters, there's a general resentment for the Eastern Euros, from US trainers, promoters, broadcasters and a sub-section of fans. They genuinely don't like to see these guys come over and dominate.

    Most of them want to see the Eastern Euros lose and will blindly defend robbery cards that go against them when they face American or Mexican fighters.

    It’s obvious to a blind man. Look at

    Ward Kovalev 1
    Fury Wilder
    Ggg Canelo 1 and 2
    Korobov Charlo

    Even in fights that ended in stoppages the cards were fishy
    Lomachenko vs linares
    Gvodzyk vs Stephenson

    House fighters (American or Mexican) get every single close call. Unless your Wlad and can win every round for 10 years, if it’s even close you are not winning. There’s ample evidence of it- at this point if you deny it your being willfully ignorant.
    Name me 3 close fights in last 5 years with an Eastern Euro where the Eastern Euro has received one of these crazy 119-108 cards like Charlo received last night

    He didn't change his style enough from amateurish to professional boxing (and he's not a heavy puncher as Kovalev and Golovkin). And he doesn't have Lomachenko's stamina, is not ready to train as hard as Loma.
