Why didn't Mayweather avenge his 9 defeats in the amateurs like Lomachenko avenged his one???

If Mayweather is so unbeatable like his fans claim. Why couldn't he avenge all his many amateur losses? like the Amateur GOAT Loma did with his single loss to Albert Selimov which he avenged twice.

    Lomachenko's amateur record = 394-1 Mayweathers amateur record = 84-9

    Mayweathers Losses:
Serafim Todorov (at the Olympics), Augie Sanchez (in the Olympic trials), Noureddine Medjihoud (in the World Championships), Tigran Uzlyan, Juan Carlos Ramirez ,Carlos Navarro, Martin Castillo, Arnulfo Bravo ( and one more)

I don't think you get to choose who you fight as an amateur.

I doubt Floyd fans care, he has a greater legacy than Lomachenko

Assuming he could choose, it's because the ams don't really matter too much.

Of course they matter. It’s just a different style/format but it’s still boxing. The World Championship’s and Olympics are two of the biggest prizes in the sport.

Mayweather fought in a better era of boxing, both Amateur and Professional.

    Correct.

In the amateurs, Mayweather had to fight men his own size and around his own age, not smaller guys (like Jesus Chavez, Robert Guerrero, and Juan Manuel Marquez) or old faded guys (like age 40 Shane Mosley). Mosley in his prime would have easily beaten Mayweather.

Mayweather wasn't as good in the amateurs as he was in the pros

I don't think he wanted to spend all his time down there in the ams that is.

Not completely true, but usually true in practice.

Thought Mayweather beat Augie Sanchez and Navarro after his defeats to them.

Mayweather turned pro after the Olympic defeat by Todorov, who turned pro himself in 98 but had only one pro bout by time Mayweather had achieved his first world title, and Todorov never got anywhere near a pro title fight.

Only because of lack of opportunities. If he'd have been handed everything on a plate like mayweather with promoters/tv deals etc in the USA, strong chance he'd have been a top pro.
