Why didn't Mayweather give Ortiz a re-match?

Floyd knocked out Ortiz "legitimately".... Like it or not. So the next time you decide to bash others for defending this or other topics that you may not agree with. First learn/understand the words you decide to use... because to ignorantly call others ****'s for accepting the legitimacy of the knock out. Because per the rules of boxing, "protect yourself at all times" Floyd did his job and Victor did not unfortunately.

Did I personally like how the knock out occurred? No

Did l like the fouls that lead up to the ko by Ortiz? No

Was it a legitimate ko? Yes

Would I like to see a rematch at that time? Yes

 

Because Ortiz didn't deserve a rematch. He blatantly head butted Floyd during the fight, he wasn't winning the fight, then he made a rookie mistake and got knocked out. What's more to say?

 

This is boxing, not ballet. Protect Yourself At All Times.

 

Ortiz never belonged in there to begin with. Ever since the fight was announced I knew it was going to be a one-sided spanking. It still amazes me how many idiots actually bought in to the "Young hungry lion" nonsense.

 

Mayweather fans are a joke , going on like he beat Ortiz by being better than him to get his fourth round knockout. Awful stuff from mayweather and his fans just lap it up

 

If you want to be fair about awfulness, you might want to focus more on the events in England and how they're blatantly and shamelessly organized to favor local fighters.

 

but he did beat him by being better then him.. you guys rag on mayweather for not beiung exciting and ****, his "defense first" style was out the window in the 4th... after taking every round he was going for the kill, and you want to talk about awful stuff, how about we touch on the headbuts from ortiz and not just the one that led to the KO punch

you can say cortez did not handle the situation well but he did call time in. protect yourself at all times, was what mayweather done in bad spirit yeh sure but 1 it was legal and 2 i bet alot of you guys would have done the same thing if youd been blatantly fouled all night

 

i think its just alot of people thought berto was better then he actually was.. we overated the very competitive win over him as it was worthy of deserving a mayweather fight

I think Ortiz would've been knocked out anyways to be honest.

 

Ortiz was still well in the fight and he wasn't that dirty leaned the head in a bit here and there and got deducted for his big foul , joke opponent anyways. You'd be hard pressed to find another boxer as sneaky as Floyd to pull the move he did
