    Freddie Roach was training Hopkins, and thats why Brother Nazim Richardson did'nt..!

    Nazim has trained bernard before and after the calzghe fight. so why not the calzaghe fight aswell. seems a tad odd to me and was wondering if there was a reason behind it

    He assisted and probably came up with the gameplan. Roach's job was to get Hopkins fit and conditioned, but I think the actually strategy was Richardson's.

    not sure bout the strategy tho, remember roach saying how he and hopkins had the same tactics for beating southpaws and thry were both working on it

    Hopkins was banging on about his "Dream Coaching Team" of:

    Freddie Roach - master trainer
    Brother Nazim - master tactician
    John David Jackson
    Mackie Shilstone - Fitness guru extrordinair
    Joe Cortez

    Richardson & Roach teamed up together for the Calzaghe fight and his conditioning was monitored by Maggie Shilstone. Hopkins made much of this in the build up.
