No - Mosley was stupid on this one. He wanted the bigger slice of the pie - claiming that he beat DLH twice - so he should get paid more. :patsch

I doubt if Mayweather would be that greedy - but you never know.

Mosely has placed principle above dollars on a couple of occations (not granting the 3rd fight, chosing to fight Winky for a third of the money that Oscar offered for the rematch).

Floyd has never done that to my knowledge.

Bottom line is that we don't need to worry, the second fight will be more boring than the first and nobody is going to be fooled 3 times in a row.

floyd didn't beat cotto to the money, de la hoya decides who gets the money.

Wasn't Mosley offered like 13-16 million?

    1. Money

    2. Because Mayweather doesn't have power at 147 or 154. He would have outboxed Oscar, period. Cotto could have hurt and knocked out Oscar. Styles. Mayweather UD Oscar. Cotto TKO Oscar. Mayweather UD Cotto.

    12 million to my memory.

But remember, he and the general boxing public thought he was too fast for Winky and would give him too many looks.

He probably thought he would beat Winky, up his negotiating power, and get more out of Oscar.

Props to him for having balls and principle, and believing in himself- at the end of the day I respect Mosely as he has fought the best, win or lose.

You'll be surprised at how many people would pay for a 3rd fight.

Yea I knew the number was pretty high. I remember a friend hyping up Winky before he fought Mosley and I thought at first Winky will make it a good fight but lose. Then after the firsts two rounds. I was like Winkys going to win. Although I cheering for a KO by Mosley.

Winky was one of those fighters that makes it clear withing the first few rounds that he is going to win. If you are for the other fighter you know quickly your man is out.

:good and plus the fact that losing to the p4p #1 won't hurt him that much.
