Didn't he arrive to the camp massively overweight? Such that the camp basically was purely weight loss - Don't know how drained he was to make the weight in the end, but you'd guess that didnt help his performance.

Sure I read somewhere he had dodgy hands too, so could no longer punch with the power he previously could.

Has Hamed ever done any decent interviews talking about his retirement?

It was a charade. It was false advertising and a con job perpetrated by Hamed and the overzealous British media.

Did the other world champions market themselves as the greatest Featherweight in decades?

Final word on this to you.Look up the meaning of charade and you will see it is an empty or deceptive act or pretance. For all his faults he was not pretending to be a boxer he was an excellent one

How in the world did Hamed avoid Chris John ? when Hamed retired in 2002 and Chris John was fighting nobodies in Indonesia at that time ? who the hell had heard of Chris John in 2000, 2001, 2002, ? he never even won a title until 2003 by which time Hamed had retired.

Manny Pacquiao wasn't even a Featherweight when Hamed was active.

Marquez was not that highly rated when Hamed was active, his career took a setback after losing to Freddie Norwood.

As for Morales well Hamed fought Barrera who alot of people thought beat Morales in their 1st fight.

He went full r***** by that point. He wasn't living the life, and wasn't even putting effort in his training camps.

He should have stayed with the ingles.

Lol he retired after barrera beating his ass. It is necessary to explain more?

Hamed is one of the most overrated fighters ever.

Barrera spanked him, but do you think that morales wouldnt have done the same? and pacquiao? the truth is any world top fighter around his division would have spanked barrera out. That's probably why he retired.

Barrera 115-113 Hamed. Barrera started well and won the early rounds and finished the better but Hamed won all the middle rounds. I had it even going into the last two rounds.

I would say arguably 3 or 4 rounds and obviously one even round with the point deduction.

Well the scores were 115 -112 twice and 116 - 111 so he must have won some rounds.I think you have a selective memory

It couldn't of been 115-113 because of the point deduction in the last round, Barrera clearly won the 12th round but had a point deducted hence a even round. Theres no way Hamed won 5 rounds in that fight though. But I would say 3 or possibly 4 rounds at a stretch is reasonable.
