All I’ll say is Barrera’s dominance in this fight is so overstated and overrated. He did enough to win and that’s about it. He was cautious during the fight and obviously wary of Hamed’s power but still got caught by some good shots. In return the eye catching shots he landed on Hamed were mostly due to Hamed stupidly throwing himself off balance like he usually did. Hamed was still the one landing the harder shots and Barrera was the one wary of being knocked out. I agree Barrera clearly won but the fight gets misrepresented as though Barrera was blithely having his way with Hamed, rather than cautiously throwing one punch at a time.

Just by boxing intelligently as he previously did against Jesus Salud, Barrera made Hamed looked amateurish, stupid and limited which, despite his excellent power, is exactly what Hamed was.
