In order to be consistent they would have to be banned as well--with the exception of Pac as he has never been caught cheating that I am aware of.
They should of been suspended. (Mosley, Holyfield) RJJ took ripped fuel. And How did Pac cheat? I'd rather get hit by Margo who is on some kind of steroid, than loaded gloves. Who you rather be hit by, Mosley on EPO or Mosley with loaded gloves?
As for the claim by Margarito's co-manager, Francisco Espinoza, that it was gauze that had grown humid and started to harden of its own accord, I ran that explanation past HBO commentator and Hall-of-Fame trainer, Emanuel Steward. He didn't find it plausible in the least. As proof of his point, he mentioned that he was about to auction off the hand-wraps that Lennox Lewis used in his fights with Mike Tyson and Hasim Rahman. For more than six years, Steward has kept them in a Ziploc bag. If damp gauze ever were inclined to harden over time, one would expect that those wraps would be stiff as boards by now. "But that material," Steward told me, "is still soft.
The amount of moisture isn't so substantial to take 24 hours to harden. They are not painting it and need it to be fully dry. There is no concrete level of hardening they are going for. Slightly damp/hardening plaster makes your fist heavier.
You keep saying it wasn't plaster of paris, it was calcium and sulfur. When you add oxygen to calcium and sulfur, it becomes plaster of paris. Basically it was plaster of paris in the making; only he got caught before the process finished. - - - - - - - - "A California Department of Justice senior criminalist who inspected the wrappings under a stereomicroscope and with an X-ray fluorescence spectrometer determined the wraps contained sulfur and calcium, according to a document obtained by the Times. Those two elements, with the addition of oxygen, make plaster of Paris." http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/boxing/news/story?id=4020190
According eze's link, and to one official, the pads were wet. yet another official said it was flaky in that same report. :think
My boy got busted with "crack" but when he went before the judge he simply explained to the judge that he was actually carriyng cocaine and baking soda which is not "crack". The judge said you are correct and free to go on your way.....:yep
I'm no expert in Plaster, but I've been around it, and if you NEED A STEREOMICROSCOPE and an X-RAY fluorescence spectrometer to find ANYTHING, then really, IT IS PROBABLY NOT PLASTER. Calcium and Sulfur, sure, those elemnets are found in sweat, skin, blood etc...
Agreed, Oh, but Pac cheated when JMM was down, and that is illegal, and fighters have been DISQUALIFIED for that before.
By that logic Margarito also cheated because he hit Cotto while Cotto was on his knees too....:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl
Exactly, those guys saying that are a bunch of morons. I'm not agreeing that those fighters should be banned at all. So what's your point again???:huh
