Why didn't they find Plaster in Margarito's Pads

Old pads are illegal period.... You must use the new wraps and gauze O.K.'d. Fellas if he had plaster of paris inserts you really think he'd only get a year???? They put this case out in the media and word of mouth was the evidence, the **** was handled poorly and they were covering their asses. NO WAY a man has loaded gloves and only gets banned for a year, not to mention no type of criminal prosecution.

 

The commission said the pads were hard.

ROFLMAO The CSAC conned the boxing public & railroaded Tony Margarito. If they has even the slightest chance of proving there was anything dangerous in those wraps Margarito would be in jail & banned for life.
You seem to overlook the fact that a CSAC inspector watched Capetillo wrap Margarito's hand Cleared it & even signed off on it. HOW if they were putting illegal inserts in????. The CSAC banned Tony to cover their asses theyre the guilty party not Margarito

To be perfectly honest I wouldnt believe a word either of them said. I think the CSAC are as crooked as a corkscrew. After all what other state was banned from holding amateur boxing tournaments because of all the corruption

 

They banned Margo for a year because he got caught with hard pads and a substance on them.


Even Margarito's own co manager said the pads were pre treated by capetillo.

He wasn't banned full time because maybe it wasn't sufficient enough evidence, but he was RIGHFULLY banned for a year.

Everyone else who is wanting him gone longer has their opinion. Like me, I believe he knew what he was doing and got caught, and played dumb. I think he's guilty and should be banned from the states. But that's not going to happen.

And why don't they release the information? Is it for the good of the sport or to protect their arse from not doing their job properly considering the wrap in question was already signed off by their own commissioner.

And why is that the case? Because anyone that has seen pro-fighters wraps KNOW'S that there is more than the supposed rules - Here is the CSAC rules as stated on their website:

Contestants shall use soft surgical bandage not over two inches wide, held in place by not more than two yards of surgeon's adhesive tape for each hand. One 10-yard roll of bandage shall complete the wrappings for each hand.
Bandages shall be adjusted in the dressing room in the presence of a commission representative and both contestants. Either contestant may waive his privilege of witnessing the bandaging of his opponent's hands.

You telling me that pretty much every fight you've ever seen only uses 10 feet of bandage and one roll of tape around the wrist?

No way.

 

10 yards is 30 feet per hand... Different states have different guidelines on this also.

1. Arum never formally appealed, which means he never felt strongly that Margarito would be cleared.

2. Margarito and Capetillo aren't stupid. They could've gone to every media outlet in print and on TV with a hired TRANSLATOR so that their words wouldn't be minced, but they did nothing to that extent.

3. Your posts on this forum showing one blind eye to a fighter but crying about another cheating without clear evidence show you for what you are, a complete hypocrite.

Save your ignorance for the idiots on this board who either don't know anything about boxing, or only root for Mexican fighters even when they clearly break the rules and have been found guilty of doing so.

 

Although the CSAC has reason to want to shift blame for what happened, I cannot imagine that they would fabricate evidence that would damn their own representatives for not having done their jobs. If anything, I believe they would want Margarito found to have not done anything wrong to protect their own representative and name. The conspiracy theories against Margarito just don't hold up.

To me, we may never know the full extent of what was going on that nite or other fights. It may have been worse than we suspect or not quite as bad.
But, based on the testimony(which I wish we could read) of assistant trainers and other members of Margarito's team referenced at the sentencing hearing(link below).....
