Why didn't Torres didn't keep his hand up after the headbutt?

Why didn't Torres didn't keep his hand up after the headbutt? Thats why I think the body shot hurt him because after the headbutt he still kept his hands low to cover his body.

"are these people getting dumber or just louder?"

Boxers who are concussed usually don't have the awareness to keep their hands up.

I guess you're also confused why Zertuche dropped his hands after Pavlik spun his head in circles. Youve probably concluded that it was a body shot, Zertuche dropped his hands to cover his body while Pavlik nearly beheaded him.

Great analysis Doctor. Please keep posting.

He was dazed/hurt, should have called for the referee's help but was most likely too dazed to do that.

Uh... Yeah, I would say that Torres was probably seeing tweety birds after that headbutt.

Man that was weakkkk...I was rooting for Torres...When I saw them throwing shots and then He straight up got him with his head right on Torres chin! i was like oh this that hurt him!...Then bam Holt takes a running head start and wacks him hard with the right hand...Totally sucked!

if you look carefully, Torres was trying to hold himself up with the rope because he was dazed from the headbutt...it's evident.

Go back and watch the replay one more time and you will see that Torres did try to block the right hand. He put his hands up out in front instead of right in front of his face. Its the same thing that Jones did when he got whacked by Tarver. Its a flaw that alot of fighters today have. The right hand went right over Torres defence and BOOM lights O-U-T

I'll say this again. The Body punch, the headbutt and the killer punch came almost simultaneously within 3 to 4 seconds. That was too fast.

The body punch came in first . . . and Torres wasn't able to react as fast as the headbutt and the right punch that came to him.

Torres actually did not have time to cover. He was too stunned by the headbutt as seen by his head swaying after the headbutt.

****, there was no body-punch landed. the left to the body barely landed with no force. he was stunned by the head butt as seen from his reaction

The headbutt caught Torres right square on the chin. Most fight fans and announcers thought it was a punch. That's how right on the button it was. The right hand was just icing on the cake.

Torres is completely fine after taking the bodyshot. Then instantly when he gets headbutted he goes on the retreat and is wobbly.

The bodyshot didn't seem to do ****. The clash of heads really hurt him, it was the same as being hit with a punch that you didn't see coming, he didn't see any blows coming, then suddenly gets hit under the chin with massive force.

That would rock anyone, and i think you will find when lots of people are being KTFO they don't hold their guard up. He was going down if the ropes weren't there.
