Trinidad retired after losing to Hopkins.

When he came back the first time, he couldn't be bothered to move back down to 154.

In effect, you had 4 lost years because of those two factors where Trinidad-Mosley could have been made, but wasn't made. It could have happened anytime between 2002 and 2005 at 154.

Trinidad would have beat Mosley at 154 though. The higher weight favors him more than Mosley.

Mosley was to fight Tito if he beat Winky Wright.

Damn it Winky. I really wanted to see these two go at it.

    I think so :think

Mosley could of avoided Wright too :-( Easy to say in hindsight but he really was all wrong for Shane.

    Y

You are right... At the time SM fought Winky and losses, Tito comes back and beats Mayorga and wanted to fight SM at 160 if SM beats Winky in a rematch. Papa Trinidad and Tito's mind set was to always fight the best no matter what. Winky beated SM so they perceived Winky as the better challenge.

Man, I wish today's fighters were more like Tito who only wanted to fight the best at no cost... He really had cojones...

When tito was at 147 mosley refused to fight him when tito went to 154 mosley said he would only fight at 147 when tito went to 160 mosley said he would only fight at 150 so the fight was never made.

Trinidad was after it hard after the first mosley dlh fight going by reports over here in PR but molsey's father said they werent interested.

Winky Wright basically ruined the prospect for that fight.

Once he 'upset' Mosley in 2004 the Trinidad fight was on hold until he won the rematch. Mosley lost the rematch despite putting together a better showing. So it was Trinidad Wright in 2005. Tito lost and that was it.
