Why didn't Tyson change his name when he converted to Islam?

    All the other guys like Clay and Braxton and Mathew Saad did.

    What would have been a good name switch for him?

    He did change his name to Malik from what I remember.

    im reading Malik Abdul Aziz and Malik Shabaaz on Wiki.

    adopted names like that can't possibly replace the fame and notoriety associated with his actual name. "mike tyson" is practically a brand.

    cassius changed his name pretty early on.

    Clay changing his name changed the world...Tyson understood that by changing the name couldnt changed the world...however he changed boxing.

    I don't think he's Muslim anymore but it's not a must to change your name.
