All you do is compare how this guy fought that guy when it fits your argument, and cry foul when people mention that Bute couldn't even last 5 rounds against Froch.

 

Lets say Ward beat Bute when he was an "undefeated champ", and then in Butes next fight he got destroyed by Froch and then got beaten by Pascal.

Waht would people be saying about Wards win over Bute now?

Before Bute lost to Froch, you have not been able to tell me how Froch had a better resume than Bute when he lost to Ward.
For someone who doesnt think Bute was worthy of a shot, you have not once been able to justify any of it

Who knows, but often the fighter that makes that statement win tends to still be viewed of as a good win.
Look at say Tarvers KO win over Jones, it is thought of as greater than say G Johnsons win after in my opinion or other examples maybe Trinidads loss to Hopkins is possibly considered a greater win for Hopkins than Wrights over Trinidad, or Tysons win over Tucker possibly looks the better win than others fighters had over Tucker, or Pavliks win over undefeated Taylor seems to be viewed as a greater win than Frochs over Taylor or Abrahams over Taylor.

Now I dont think anyone would say Abrahams win over Taylor was a massive win, but it was a big win when Pavlik beat the undefeated MW champ Taylor

 

Hey FilipMNE, do you think J Taylor was ever the same again after he lost to Pavlik.
Before he lost to Pavlik he was an undefeated fighter 27-0-1 who had been in the ring with Hopkins twice, Wright, Joppy, Spinks.
After losing to Pavlik, including that loss to Pavlik, he went 1-4. Do you think that was anything to do with skill level or competition when he had twice beaten Hopkins?

You even mention about some P4P fighters, but what about when Sweet P lost to De La Hoya in a fight that was not considered as debateable as his loss to Ramirez. Whittaker didnt record a victory again, but Whittaker was a good skilled talented fighter

 

To answer the thread tittle Ward didnt face Bute because Bute got KTFO first time he stepped up, if he won there would not be way for Ward not to fight him, Bute is truly irrelevant just another fighter that was hyped up and didnt prove himself, long list of fighters like that in history of boxing but all of them are forgotten because they didnt do **** at highest level...in 10 years from now no one outside Canada and Romania will not care about Bute.
