Why didnt Wladimir Klitschko have a rematch with Corrie Sanders?

    Who else was he supposed to fight with so many other challengers taking a pass?

    so you'd rather the world champ fought someone subdomestic than wait for alegit challenger?

    First of all, he wasn't THE champ.. Lennox Lewis was. Secondly, he was in line to fight Lewis but was looking to stay busy and took Sanders as a tuneup. with no legit challenger available in site, he chose to stay active against the only man who was willing to fight him, and one who was a big puncher with fast hand speed. So yes, As a title holder and in the absence of other challengers it was his duty to take what fights he could get...
