tell their fighters to not drink any water in between rounds of fights? Does it make you tired? if so does anyone have the scientific explanation why?
because if its sits in your stomach and you get hit in the solar plexus....you might puke? i don't know, i guess that's why.
Not sure if what you're saying is true. Maybe you're thinking, not letting them drink too much water? IIRC, the best way to rehydrate while playing sports is drinking a cup of water or gatorade every 15 minutes of activity. Drinking just enough to rehydrate, but not too much to fill your belly up with fluids and make you feel uncomfortable or heavy or sick. So a nice mouthful of water after every 3 hard minutes of boxing would be enough water for a fighter. It's probably equal to 1 cup of water per 15 minutes.
when you are tired from boxing if you drink water you can feel it swilling around in your belly and yes it can make you puke especially if you catch a punch in the gut. you are better off just swilling you mouth and maybe swollow a little tiny bit to lubricate your throat.
this is probably true. But the only times I can think of seeing that happen is when a fighter has a bad cut in/on/around his mouth, maybe water makes it hard to stop the bleeding?
Makes sesne to me...:yep. I noticed a couple times, i think esp. in the ODH fight, PBF never even takes out his mouth piece.
I've definately seen Tyson swallowing water between rounds amongst other fighters. We're only talking about a mouthfull hardly a pint glass!!
they can drink but only to moisten their throats...too much will give you cramps...especially when its cold.
