Why do alot of you guys hate Paul Williams?

I still think he beats all from 147-154... Martinez gotta be better than dzinzurik

I have no problem admitting it... I'm always honest in my assessment.. Maybe not right but atleast honest

- 168 is way too much unless its against a light handed fighter
- I still favor him over 147-160 pavlik being the toughest fight
- great attitude

because people hate success. williams was the most avoided fighter on the planet since margarito....and when margarito got owned by mosely...everyone bashed on margo saying he was never that good blah blah....same with williams...no one wanted to fight him...martinez jumped in when pav pulled out for the 3rd time...martinez is still a fighter and will fight anyone at anytime...look at the amount of fights he has. when someone like williams is actually in a tough fight, the dicks on this board say he sucks or overrated...but if he would have blown out martinez in 2 rounds...then martinez sucked and williams will get killed by pavlik... so in short, haters will be haters and most people on this board are just uninformed idiots

 

I dont know you could hate this guy. 100% throwback. Fights whoever, whenever, back to back to back. There are these other guys standing around the sidelines waiting for a money shot, meanwhile the punisher is fighting margarito, phillips, winky, martinez, I mean how you could not be a fan I dont know. He is going to be something special as time goes on, and he will become the undisputed middleweight champ. His win last night was very impressive and he will destroy pavlik.

How do you favor him over all the fighters when he just got shellacked by Martinez?

Martinez should've won that fight, in all honesty. And I am a fan of both, at the end of the night I would have rather been Martinez.

they can't fathom how a tall, skinny guy can be such a good, durable boxer. Maybe he's too confident and some ppl envy that, they'd rather have a over-hyped guy who loses gracefully.

 

How can ppl say things like that?? It just baffles me!! Avoided by whom... Pavlik, for sure, but he's just 1 guy. Williams got a fight with a guy called Quintana who happened to take him to a boxing class that night and laid the blueprint 4 others with a bit of skill & power to do the same.... yeahhhh, we all know that in the rematch Quintana probably got a bit too confident and got caught cold by PW in the 1st rd..... those things DO HAPPEN, how can ppl not understand that? What baffles me is that ppl do not mention the fact that even though Quintana has expressed interest in a rubbermatch, PW (the so called most feared/avoided man in boxing) has blatantly ignored this call while always crying he can't get anyone to fight him.... PATHETIC!!!!! And that, my friends, may be why this guy may be hated by some... BTW, I don't hate him, but I'm just stating the FACTS like they are!!!!
