Why do AM fans believe Floyd ducked AM when AM is not even built like that?

I see so many threads on this topic but honestly everyone should look out for their own careers and make moves that benefits them and not the fans. When it all comes down it's all about business and know we all hate the business part because we want the best fights but that's the way it is.I honestly think Floyd made the right move because it led him to fight Oscar which was his biggest payday of his career plus he rose to fame because of 24/7 plus his victory over Oscar. Also that led him to fight a another big PPV fight which was Hatton and that got a lot of attention plus a lot of money for him.So the end if he did or didn't duck AM i still think it was the best move on a financial view. Can we same thing for AM ! after he beat Cotto and rose to a new fame which he never got that he's ducking P.Williams now! So you see it's all about making the right decision to benefit your career.

your smileys are cute, but you clearly stated that arum made no move to put his fighters together when they were under his control. tat quote showed arums intentions prior to pbf buying out his contract. and that was before the judah fight.

How did he fear losing to margarito when Arum himself said floyd excepted the 8 million dollars to fight Margarito that was part of a 3 fight deal but rejected the 7 mill to fight Hatton and Cotto ..

This is what I can not understand about Floyd haters , the straight denial of the truth and fact at any cost.

Good post. However, the highlighted part is inaccurate. Arum was all set to match Floyd with Margo in either July or August of 2006. He even reserved the Thomas & Mack Center for the event. However, Floyd said he hurt his hand in the Judah, then brought himself out of his contract to pursue a fight with Hoya.

Also a good post , but as mention earlier floyd bought out his contract after negotiation regarding the three fight contract with Arum fell through.

Floyd bought out his contract because he only had a small window to do so. If he had waited, he would've been stuck with Arum for the remainder of the contract. However, Arum's plan was always to have Floyd fight Judah and then Margo.

Big Reg...that was Arum's plan, not Floyd's. That is where they collided. Floyd said he could not see where a big money fight was coming in the future since losing out on a fight with Cotto at 140. Cotto's people wanted the fight at 147 and down the line. Floyd wanted Dlh all long. He did not see AM as a big money fight. He thought that the Dlh fight could break the bank.

That doesn't change the fact that Arum indeed tried to match Floyd wih Margo while Floyd was under contract.

Arum can do anything he wants, but if the fighter and promotor aren't on the same page, how is this proof that he tried to make a fight between the two?
