Why do AM fans believe Floyd ducked AM when AM is not even built like that?

Under that theory you could argue that it would be impossible for Arum to attempt to make a fight between Margo and Floyd seeing as Floyd had seemingly no interest in fighting Margo.

It isn't impossible. AM was not on Floyd's radar. Floyd wanted the WBC title and a big money fight. He even said he wanted AM, but AM lost and that took the luster off of beating a guy like that. It is said that Arum offered up AM to Floyd's people without even talking to Floyd FIRST. That in itself is a disrespect to the boxer. There is a reason why Floyd bought out his contract. That reason, and I don't think you are suggesting it is...wasn't AM. You are right, he did not want to stay with Top Rank. I read in an article a while back that Dlh talked Floyd into promoting himself, and even suggested to Floyd to buy out his contract so that they could possibly make a fight in the future.

True he did try to match them but it was part of a three fight deal ,and this i is the detail that is over looked by most or rather ignored .

Arum has always made it a habit to make his fighter fight each other that way he stand to make the most money .

Which is why he was not interested in matching Floyd with Oscar because he new he would have to share the promotors pot with oscars company. with floyd wanting 15 to 20 and then oscar taking a Lions share of the pot, there just wasn't enough left for Arum to be interested in the fight.

which is why he said sometime you have to know when to fold, remember floyd and Arum split was on good terms until issue of back payment came into play that when things got ugly.

Espn has already quoted Arum on what transpired you dumb **** , Arum started changing his tune after the fact he and floyd blew up over back money owed ,, That when Arum started the campaign that floyd was afraid for Antonio, in an effort to goad floyd into a fight where Arum would make the most money you idiot.
It all about business you delusion village idiot .

Good post. Too further add, Arum new Floyd was leaving. I know this for a fact. Floyd didn't just wake up and decide to buy out his contract with Top Rank. He did not get the big money fights he wanted for years. He didn't get Cotto at 140 and that was the last straw. Floyd truly wanted a big money fight with Dlh. He had to buy out his contract to get the Dlh fight. Whether Arum tried to make the fight or not, AM was not on Floyd's immediate radar. Arum protects his money makers. That is a fact. Marquez never got a fight with Barrera or Morales in their prime.

hears a quote from a legit new source

    This content is protected

Arum said Mayweather also asked for $20 million to fight De La Hoya, a fight Arum said he wasn't interested in participating in.

"That's not in the cards," Arum said. "He wants $20 million for the De La Hoya fight? It's not there. Sometimes, my man, you gotta know when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em. We'll talk about things down the road."

yup some fan seem to forget that Margario was going to ditch the WBO title to fight Cotto per arum request but decided not too when Goosen made it worth his while to defend it , he then tried to use Goosen bid as leverage to get more money out of Arum to fight Cotto , only for arum to tell him to kick rock and fight William.. Only to have Arum turn around and threaten legal action ,it was Goosen that saved Margarito from getting sued buy Arum ..
Only to have Margarito call Goosen a thief after he lost to williams

please Arum is the only reason this fight didn't happen, and he was pissed at Floyd for leaving so he tried to make him look like the bad guy and he was able to fool unintelligent people like yourself.

besides if your boy AM wants a fight with Floyd so bad, why not go out and avenge his loss to Williams, which would clearly put him atop the WW division???
