Ill tell you witch american fighters have been over hyped Jeff Lacy Evander Holyfield Antonio Tarver Gatti tommy morrison Mickey Ward
Why is it you act like you know me? You don't know anything about me or what I think. I never said Calzaghe beat the best in the business, I only give credit where credit is due, and that appears to be something you cannot do yourself, as proven by your first post in this thread. People like you are exactly what's wrong with both ESB and boxing in general.
Hatton was over-protected by Warren. He had far too many 'warm-up' fights. He looked like a beast against the likes of Tackie and Oliviera and right up until after the Tsyzu fight. His first fight in the states was against Collazo and he looked like crap, and that was the first many Americans had seen of him. Fighting Urango and getting knackered after 8 rounds didn't help either. Calzaghe IS world-class, but never made a name for himself in the States. I'm blaming Warren for any criticism Joe gets, because all the critics would go away if Calzaghe had gone to America years ago and made a name for himself there. He HAS only fought in Europe, and that's a guaranteed way to have people over there slag you off. Amir, another Warren fighter. Is totally unproven, but I promise you that Warren would rather fight Diaz himself than have Khan fight overseas. So, in conclusion - it's all Frank Warrens fault. No-one has heard of Woods in America, and Bruno got spanked every time he stepped up, except against McCall. Can someone tell me which country this was promoted in and by whom? I forgot
I agree its a shame how people over rate great look at this fight! Roy Jones Jr 39 vs Felix Trinidad! 35 sold out massive over in america! just shows you how boxing sufferd badly by american hype media! N tyson vs holyfield! what a dreadful match that would be! just trying to ruin boxing if that fight gets made!
You forgot to mention Michael Grant the man who was going to be undisputed Heavyweight champion of the world. :rofl atsch :nut :scaredas: :admin
Yes its ok I just remeber in the run up to Lewis vs Grant how all the yanks were picking Grant to beat Lewis.atsch
it's just Americans in general, not every one but the majority. It's kinda like that movie they made where the americans took the german sub and cracked the enigma code when in fact it was the british navy that did it. They simply 'invent' their fighters like they reinvent historic events; it's all media and cultural bias. Wouldn't be so bad if most showed a degree of common sense but they're happy to jump aboard the make believe gravy train it would seem.
Because British fighters generally when they step out of Britain get their asses kicked lol. Britain doesnt have a deep history in boxing, neither does most of western europe, so its hard to respect you when you dont fight the best. The best fighters fight in America. Simple fact.
How come every piece of **** Brit brings up U-571 out of ****ing thin air when there is any discussion pertaining to American views of the BRitish. Jeez I didnt know one guy could hurt your feelings so much. Its kind like Mayweather Sr said about Hatton "thats the best they got? Well i guess they dont got ****" Listen just pray we dont send Judah down to 140 and take away all yoru paper titles.
