Why Do American Boxers End Up Owing Money To The IRS?

    Everybody says you gotta come to america to establish yourself but i think this money thing is a big part of why asian fighters and european fighters prefer not to fight in america because of the amount of money they get taken away from in taxes. Ill give an example nishioka who fought donaire was only given $100,000 he did get a substantial amount from japanese tv rights(wowow). Id this fight were to take place in japan nishioka and donaire would have likely doubled there purses. And with taxes lower than us and no state tax bs where ever you fight taxes is same. Boxing should do those back room bonuses like ufc would be much better

    All this good advice 'n logical solutions is spittin' in the wind. Most gym rat fighters can't wade through TONY HAS A PONY, let alone tax ramifications.

    All they understand is cash in hand

    So what we're saying here is that boxers would be better off marrying tax advisers and accountants than the girl next door.
