everyone says ohh boxing is less popular in usa now etc

but i noticed something, when an american is at the top of a weightclass
americans say this a great age for the weight class etc

once there a foreign fighter takes over, they just ingore the weightclass
until the next top ameircan/americans come and they say "this guy is best fighter in the weight since the last american

i have to agree and like with then gonalzez was the best 108 pounder, the usa cared about that weight class and when he was gone....so was the weightclass....

and if america produces the top heavyweight, he will be called the best heavyweight since holyfield and bowe....

its now there are some good american super middleweights and guess what the divison is important....

    boxing will alive again....

its like americans like to point about the poor record of europeans in usa but always forget to mention, their poor record in europe

ummm well the lightweight divisions were really popular when barrera and morralles and pacquiao and marquez ran through it...

the welter division was popular when de la hoya and cotto and margarito ran through it....

i think you non americans need to stop complaining and develop some better boxers....or stop worrying about whats going on over here and only worry about youre fighters. support them, boycott HBO and showtime....STFU and do something about it....

    Horrible blanket generalization.

I'm an American boxing fan and can tell you something about each and every weight class, regardless of who is at the top. :deal Useless thread, sorry.

    175- Dawson, Cloud
    168- Ward, Dirrell
    160- Pavlik, Williams
    154- Williams, Kirkland
    147- Mayweather, Mosley
    140- Bradley, Alexander, Ortiz

They just happen to be the best divisions in boxing and cover most divisions.

Just when I'm sure the threads on ESB can't get any stupider, I'm proven wrong yet again. Congratulations.

Kind of a sweeping, prejedicial statement. Are you judging American fight fans by the ones encountered here on ESB? Obviously you lack knowledge of anything going on in the US.
I can't imagine this question being for anything but to provoke.

They tend to stick to undefeated guys who are winning in good fashion then they call them **** once a non American beats them. Most Americans only like a winner.
