why do Arum still play the "game" at his age?

i dont get it, hes damn near 80 and can meet his demise any day now. im not wishing nothing bad on him but lets be real, the clock is ticking. his legacy is in tack, hes rich as hell so why play these bull**** promoter games like letting his fighters fight in house and against tomato cans to slowly build them up and cash out on them. it seem like at this point he would say **** it and go out with a bang. make the best fights possible, make huge money and solidify is legacy as the biggest promoter ever. right now Don still # 1. he dont five a ****. hes letting his fighters fight the top dogs and always have.

He wants to stay on top in terms of money/power, and thinks he'll live forever.

He's like Hyman Roth in The Godfather Part 2.

thats what im thinking...ego, power and control is a big thing....im sure he wants to be on top forever BUT it seem like after all these decades he would be satisfied enough and put his cards on table, go out with a huge bang

pac vs may, jcc jr vs canelo, he blew JL vs gamboa already playing the game

This might be a little mean to say, but every time I see an interview with Bob, I want to throw up. He looks like he's been rotting in the dirt for a couple months.

But he's got Michael Corleone in little Todd Duboef who will keep the family dominance going. Plus Golden Girl promotions are not exactly the cuban insurgents.

I think that movie metaphor needs a little work...:good

Obviously he has all the money he'll ever need and he's not going to be around much longer, but these guys get to where they are because of their egos. He craves the power, the ability to dictate terms, and the satisfaction of doing it his own way. I don't think money has much to do with it anymore.
