it's the same reason that you exhale when you're lifting weights. It's just throwing some voice into the exhale.

    What a dick.

Just cos he aint boxed before dont mean ur better than him, everyones so keen to prove themselves on an eastsideboxing forum haha. You exhale as u make a noise so u breathe after, ovawise too easy to hold ur breath when ur doin combos for example.

Slam Dunk - rarely do you hear sounds when someone's dunking unless they're showboating. Usually the scream comes after the dunk.

Tackle - when do you hear yells during tackles?

I can say what I want to that ******* bc he talks his **** as well! So when he talks like he is the expert on boxing then comes up with a stupid ass question I bust his chops! Don't mean I am better than him or anyone else! Get over it!

  7. When did I ever claim that I boxed?

    :patsch

And I've been to fights with close to ringside seats and I've never really heard any boxers make distinct noises when they throw punches. It's usually a loud exhale, but never the "Ha!" you hear from Alexander or the "Bah!" you hear from Pacquiao.

    Eat a dick, Trick Ho.

The sounds you describe were introduced in the early 1980s to allow blind boxers to compete fairly versus sighted opponents; the blind boxer is able to follow his sighted opponent's grunts, thus avoiding a mismatch. A rare victory for political correctness IMHO.

It's because you exhale through your nose when you throw a punch. It helps your endurance a huge amount when you breath through your nose and not your mouth. You sync your breathing with movement, it's hard to explain, breathe out when you throw, then try catch your breath when you are not throwing, which is usually when your opponent is trying to stove your ribs in so you can't breathe at all.
