if you lived in woodside Queens... you would say "for ****s sake" and "shite" nobody here gets called a **** and takes it personal.... it's like a friendly punch in the arm... just common.
You can always throw it back on them. Interviewer: "How do you feel tonight after going 12 rounds with a guy who can't fight? Do you feel suicidal? Or are were you just in it for the money from the start?"
Yes i am from the UK (sunderland) Ill rephrase it - (instead of sound ****) make their opponents appear to be of low calibre
I dont mind boxers talks **** to his opponent before the fight, just as long he tries to back up his words! But if a boxer only seems to have all in his mouth, he shouldn`t trash talk, then he gets a bit ridicilous imo! To answer the question, **** talk is a mind game to get under his opponents skin! But it can also mean that the boxer is unsecure or afraid, and then tries to **** talk his opponent to make himself look more confident
And then they say their opponent is a great fighter after they beat thematsch. BEFORE THE FIGHT= C -class cannot box, jab, defend etc. ...after the fight= great fighter
