Why do boxing belts look awful

    ... I mean, Lonsdale belt aside, why do they look so ****? Surely it can't be that hard to manufacture a belt that looks decent? How do the WBC spend a million dollars on a belt and still have it look something you'd find in B&M Bargains?

    And what happened to the commonwealth belt? It used to be a dignified little belt, as did the EBU belt.

    It's embarrassing when you look at the hardware they collect in other sports lol!

    Ever see a championship ring in the NFL? Those are awesome.

    I agree. Boxing championship belts have a plastic look from the 1980's. There is room for improvement.

    They should use the WWE style belts, the one with spinny W in particular except make it WBA e.g.

    The only belt I ever thought looked cool was the Ring belt.

    they should just go all the way and make themselves look like the ruler.

    along with the belt, the champ should also have a crown, a scepter and a glittering robe.
