    ...after one bad night?

Back in the day, great fighters got beaten 'n stopped, but it didn't diminish fan appreciation for how good they were. They just laced'em up again 'n kicked ass.

Perhaps it's just more noticeable now?

With the pervasive nature of modern communication a whisper can seem more like a shout and everybody (in the western world at least) has a "voice".

Thats because fighters fought more frequent so losses were common ,a loss today is a shock because the match making was made so carefully ..

only if one fighter is so butthurt about his loss.

only if the other fighter comes up with excuses although he won a controversial fight.

only if haters think they won the lottery ego after a controversial fight.

reply: ...and you dont know **** about boxing

I believe rather strongly that much of it is iodine deficiency, John.

It's because of the internet and the fast food industry making it's way into the mentality of too many.

That's fine when fighters fight all the time and fight everyone. Nothing against Pacman personally but his promoters have cherry picked fighters without any movement or defence to make him appear better than he is. Now they look to be moving him away from the Mayweather fight we all want to see. So he's been called the best P4P fighter while not trying to fight the number 1 in his division

People are also rightly very angry about the decision here, personally I think it reeks of corruption, it stinks. The judges in question even scored it 8-4 to Pacquaio which is inexcusable. They have had these judges for other Pacquaio fights and they all score Pacquaio more rounds than they should. Pacquiao is the cash cow, do the math as you Americans say

I'm sure they are nice warm guys to you in camp John, but that's my perspective as a fan

'ppreciate your candor, PP. Hope, over time, I've demonstrated objectivity.

I don't per say hate Pac, but the whole attitude of the Pac team as a whole towards the fight does not make me like them..

Bob Arum "It was just business"

Pac "Talk to my promoter", "I only train for fights" (robot)

Pac "I really won the fight"

Obviously he would think he won the fight if he did not believe they need another rematch... why would the official winner want to fight again more than the loser?

Also the blatant commentary by the HBO team during the fight was nauseating. I really felt like throwing up at how one sided it was. This only makes it obvious how $$ affects the ringside media.

Honestly if there were unbiased commentary by HBO and the Pac team admitted that they did indeed lose the fight and/or got lucky due to the judges (which may have been corrupted... but that's another story). I would not have a sour taste in my mouth supporting Pac..if it were not for the above circumstances I just don't see myself ever supporting Pac unless he does something to redeem himself *( tell arum to **** off and make the PBF fight).

P.S. JG I was wondering what your opinion on the fight as a whole is, since I havn't seen you post since.
