  2. Sam Peter is another proper old school warrior like from yesteryear. He fights anybody and everybody.

    Let's look at his cv.

    Wladimir (twice) (World champion)
    Vitali (World champion)
Helenius (WBA Inter-Continental champion, WBO Inter-Continental champ)
    Chambers (USBA champ)
    Maskaev (World champion)
    McCline (interim WBC heavyweight title)
    Toney (twice) (World champion)

They offered fights to almost every MW contender out there and none of them accepted, how is it their fault? That fight would not change their careers in the slightest, except for the loser whose career would take a devastating hit, as a boxing fan I'd love to see it but I do not blame them at all.

I rather defend a fighter than defend some piece of **** promoter who doesn't deserve making more than both fighters

I guess I tend to be understanding that this is a job, and based on my experiences there are things I can relate to. We all have decisions we have to make at different points in our lives, some are right...some are wrong, but regardless the decisions will have to be made. I've toiled over decisions, I've made both good and bad choices, but they're my decisioins and should be respected as such. I'll still ***** and complain when things (boxing wise) don't go as I would like, but ultimately the fighter has a responsibility to him and his family...if we as fans/consumers aren't happy we have the ability to demonstrate that by not buying PPV's, not attending events, etc.

You're easily one of the top five biggest nuthugging cheerleaders on this site, and that's saying a whole lot.

Nop, easily the number 1, I don't think I have ever seen him in a non-Pacquiao or Mayweather bashing thread.

Americans have been heavily influenced by Ronald Reagan and his ilk, who proclaimed that they want America to be a place where everyone can get rich. CEO's of companies now have to make millions of dollars per year, "working men and women" are people to be bled dry and discarded. The "greed is good" mentality. It does breed competition, which is good and brings good results, until you think about those who can't help themselves, who often get forgotten in such a society. And health care begins to suffer in such a society, big-time. You being to have a battle between the haves and have-nots. Just my $.02.

I agree. Fans who sympathize with politics of the sport are the biggest problem. They try to legitimize BS fights cause they're a fan of that particular fighter.

People always come out with this line about how they put their lives on the line and that, that should somehow make them immune to criticism. At the end of the day what they do is preferable to doing a 9-5 job where they wouldn't get paid anywhere near as much as they do, and at the end of the day, fans are paying their wages, so they should get what they demand within reason.

Fans moan about not getting enough competitive fighters but they bicker back and fourth for their favourite fighters and refuse to criticize which makes it plausible for said fighter to take the ****.

well , Bute will fight against Froch ( which is cool :D )
    This content is protected

Bute also said after the s6 ended that is willing to fight with Ward in his hometown !

I think the main problem are the greedy promoters . Of course that are many other problems too but this is the main one.

Also every fighter wants to milk one of the cash-cows from his division or are just scared of losing his belt / ranking position to fight against someone good .

As a fan of boxing I would love to see these fights happen :

    Gamboa vs Donaire
Martinez vs Chavez jr / Sturm
    Martinez vs Golovkin
    Pirog vs Golovkin
    Kid Chocolate vs Golovkin :D
Haye vs Chisora and the winner to have a shot against Vitali's title.
    Bute vs Ward :D
Bute vs Dawson / Pascal / Hopkins ( when Bute will jump at 175 pounds )
    Andre Ward vs Andre Dirrell ( into a true/real non-fixed fight ):D
Saul Alvarez vs Victor Ortiz :D
    Canelo Alvarez vs Chavez jr
Brandon Rios vs Marquez / Guerrero / Maidana :D Martinez vs Floyd at 154 pounds
    Martinez vs Cotto 154 p.
    Bradley vs Khan
