Let's say Breazeale is enforced as mandatory for WBC.....

Why is he only ranked number 2?

    Whyte is ranked number 1....
Would generate for money for the WBC....
    Holder of WBC silver title....
Side note - Would also make undisputed a certainty if Whyte wins.

What's the point of having rankings if 2>1?

To pretend to be a fair and balance business when really it's a money hungry gangster behind the paperwork changing it for the highest bidder.

Example- Don King fighters getting shots at the WBC for nothing.
Bob Arum fighters fighting only for the WBO first or ever.

But the WBC would make far more money enforcing Whyte as we know that Hearn would offer, at minimum, £5 million.

I understand how 2>1 when there's more money involved......even 5>1 at that point.

But Whyte is higher ranked and offers more money.

I'm not sure what the ABCs take of the money is per champion but I figure these guys are better friends with Haymon than they are with Hearn. I'm not sure whats going on but I would fight Whyte if I was Wilder,in the UK and stake a claim as a world champ in Joshua's backyard. These guys do lazy business as fighters nowadays. How many countries did Ali fight in again?

    1.United States
    2.United Kingdom
    3.Canada
    4.Germany
    5.Switzerland
    6.Japan
    7.Ireland
    8.Indonesia
    9.Zaire (Congo)
    10.Malaysia
    11.Puerto Rico
    12.Philippines
    14.Bahamas.

That's a world champion for you.

You could argue that with a lack of media, you had to travel in those days to become 'global'.

I think not. Look at all the media we have today and nobody knows Wilder outside of the hardcore fans. Joshua is big in Europe but not here because some people still think the Klitchko's are the champs. They should go back to traveling and building that world audience again.

Wilder will fight Breazeale next because Breazeale can't fight at all, is owned by Haymon and was knocked out by Joshua easily.....................now-a-days fighters do not have to earn a title shot, the mandatory is picked by the promoter. Boxing is very corrupt.......................

I just assumed rankings were there for sheer comedy value.

I mean WBA have BJ Flores at number 6 HW.:risas3:

WBC would've stripped Bhop if he didn't take this dude on.

Rankings should exist, but not this way. BTW- the best fight of the night was Merchant vs Hopkins! 3 minutes of warring words!
