Does Bob Arum want to see it? Is that stadium built yet? Has Manny's cut healed yet? Is 14 days enough time for Manny's blood to regenerate yet? Does Bob know who to call yet on Mayweather's team? Is Joshua Clottey still a bigger fight than Floyd Mayweather? Is 6 million guarantee still a better deal than a 40 million guarantee? Does Floyd still have to pay 10 million per lb? Does Manny still not know what a steroid is?

Because most people followed the 09-10 negotiations, when the fight meant the most, with great interest putting up with news story after news story every single day and were let down by one of the two sides admitting to walking away from the table because of inability to agree to drug testing.

 

Boxing writers want the latest scoop on the cash cow, and if they overly critcise Mayweather their publication/ web shites will be on his **** list.

While Pacquiao has accepted the drug testing, Floyd has continued to put up obstacles such as forcing Pacquiao to leave his promoter or join his crappy money team, so while his fanboys might put the blame on Pacquiao's doorstep for not accepting the original drug testing, none of them can say with any degree of certainty that if Pacquiao had accepted drug testing, there wouldn't have been something else Mayweather throws his way

 

They will both regret it. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity

 

And nobody can say with certainty that even if Mayweather didn't want blood testing that Team Pacquiao wouldn't have left the negotiating table anyway in favor of a Clottey fight.

The endless bickering over "what ifs" are pointless. We can all agree to what did actually happen in those negotiations, though, as all sides have been consistent on what happened and what was the cause for no fight to be made.

 

Yet you comment on here and only blame Pacquiao about what happened in 2009, yet even though is still the most demanded fight still, there is only one side now stopping the fight from happening, by making ridiculous demands about leaving promoters/ joining the money team etc- something nobody else has had to do. And you still refuse to criticise Mayweather. Once again showing your bias agenda.

 

Mayweather has only fought Golden Boy fighters or free agents.

Pacquiao has only fought Top Rank fighters or free agents.

...I think maybe it is you who is blinded here.

The exact opposite could be said as well in 2014 I believe Mayweather I holding up the fight out of spite, but before Pacquiao loss 2 arguably 3 times in a row he refused the fight twice. Instead of coming up with reasons why Pac should take the fight all you hear is excuses why he shouldn't.

in 09 Pacquiao got everything in his favor the only demand from the other side was drug testing, and instead of saying take the fight and try to beat Mayweather people made the excuses Pacquiao should turn down the fight basically because he got his feelings hurt.

later on after unofficially losing to Marquez Pac got offered the highest guarantee in history at the time and turned it down after saying he'll take less only to say 50/50 or no fight 2/3 weeks later. Not you nor I is getting any of that money yet again instead of saying take the fight fans made excuses why he shouldn't. Let's be honest Manny doesn't even know how much he makes for real so who are we to complain he's not getting enough.

after the KO to Marquez Pac lost all room to negotiate at all yet and still some of the more bs demands weren't that big a deal before the hbo deal Pac can't fight on showtime even though he recently fought there, or the bs sign with TMT/ become a free agent for 1 fight even though others have had to sign with TR just to fight him.

history will have enough evidence on both sides to create arguments if they don't fight as for who will rate higher in 08 when they had the 50 gretest fighters of all time list Mayweather was #48 & Pacquiao wasn't on there at all, in 2014 when they listed the 20 greatest fighters in 80 yrs Mayweather was #12 Pac wasn't on there taking Mayweather's 0 is a big thing and worth bending over for a chance at history Pac has 5 should be 8 losses and nobody cares about anyone who beat him Pac was going for the bigger prize so the onus was on him.
