Why do certain guys ALWAYS bring up COTTO's loss to Margarito time after time?.......

i'm a huge Cotto fan but you gotta see Cotto fought like an idiot, so it was his own fault he ran out of gas

    he was bouncing around unnecessarily

going forward with his hands down

showboating, punching and leaving his hand in the air taunting

slipping punches with his hands down

and the worst of all, he would land huge shots and just reset, he would back Margo up with a few shot and just bounce back letting Margo recover and come back.

Like I said before, whether Margarito used any plaster or not, Cotto had no real game plan. Why sit on the ropes? Where was the body work? He should and could have beat Margarito no problem but it was a bad game plan, or none really.

I am suspicious that Margarito may have used something when I re-watched it a few times but no one can know. I think's dumb to call him a quitter. He had nothing left in the tank. Why should he take unneeded punishment? Anyone in his corner would have stopped the fight that had any sense.

yeah , with the Marg and his being caught as a cheat . the caying goes once a cheat...... I think its fair to ignore Cotto s loss to Marg , since its not for sure to say how far back he had cheated . and Im no Cotto fan

    Why not?

Probably because to someone a missing piece of the puzzle appears relevant and it brings the bigger picture into focus.

Its ok to talk about wins and losses as long as they are done in a thought provoking fashion and not in a whining manner.

Relentless, I am completely with you on this one and it was DAMN frustrating to watch.
My little daughter even understood this and cried towards the end of the fight and was pissed at Cotto.

He never seriously hurt Margarito, he found out midway so he decided to box but eventually ran out of gas because his power never seriously backed Margarito off. Cotto should have held whenever he was cornered but he fought stupid to satisfy "fans" who now call him a quitter/glass jaw.

Frustrating is exactly the word. Every time, I'm telling myself, WTF is Cotto doing this or that, this **** could be easy!

It's called common sense. If he was desperate enough to load up his gloves for Mosley in a fight looked at as a "tune up" where he was a heavy favorite going in against a way past prime fighter half his size then what makes anyone think he won't do the same against Cotto in a fight considered and publicly announced/advertised his last chance after the Williams failure?

Do you have a source that provides evidence to back up your claim that Margarito used loaded gloves in the Cotto fight or are you just a dirty, truth-bending, garden-variety, marketplace liar?
