Why do especially Brits dislike the Klitschko brothers?

I was rooting for Vitali vs Lewis & I was jumping for joy when Wlad gave Haye the boxing lesson I predicted he would give him

True, if anything its the Americans that try discredit any dominant fighter that ain`t American, they do it more than the Brits in general.

Lewis never brought big fights home, he was a Canadian fighting in USA, and thats how most brits saw him as.

Haye is and always was in this game just for the payday. Not for the show.:deal

I miss and I loved the true brit warriors like Eubanks, Benn, Bruno, Naz and Calz.

Hopefully we might get them soon again.

I am English and I hate the likes of David Haye but dont hate the Klitschkos.

Having said that you have to recognise that they have dominated the worst heavyweight line up in the history of the sport. Historically their reign is meaningless..period.

There is nothing to hate..just simply that there reign has no significance..such is the state of the heavyweight division that people have become numb to it and started believing they actually mean anything.

 

I don't dislike them, and I don't think British fans in general dislike them.

Funny how you base the opinion of an entire country from this website.

 

Exactly, when Wlad went over to promote the Haye fight he came across really well and actually seemed to win a lot of support from the general public.

 

I think their personality doesn't fit the regular heavyweight 'all-action trash talking' image of past heavyweight era's.

Look at past greats such as Ali and Tyson, they became as popular as they were for a mixture of in ring and out of ring personalities. The Heavyweight division as a whole is missing that fiery, cold-blooded KO artist who talks the talk and backs it up in the ring. And while the Klitschko's dominate they will be the standard bearers for the division.

That's what made the Haye and Wlad match so big, Haye came in talking trash and people started believing it. That's why the Vitali match is so sought after now, because people believe again Haye will bring excitement back to the division.

 

There's a sticky thread by intentionalbutt which fully details why they hate Lewis (He's the only fighter that has a win and no losses to either Klitsckho and he was fat and shot)

Because they have no one as good as them and think they're the best. Just look at the threads popin up everywhere, "Brits will dominate the Heavyweight division", "British boxing back on top" etc.
