    I don't agree with the writers point about Ortiz. Ortiz is not in the mix because he quit against Maidana and then admitted it during the post-fight interview. Also, it looks like the top 4 junior welterweight fighters are going to fight each other.

    It is very frustrating that the best don't fight the best though. But I don't think its only the fighters fault. Its also the promoters, the number of sanctioning bodies, the networks and the amount of money you can make today.

    I Agree. I think fighters dont want to loose or get a serious beat down.

    Self promotion is the worst promotion.

    Because they don't love the sport, but loves money and them selfs. Look at "Money" Mayweather and "Son of God".

    Every story boxing fans should write about now should be in support of showtime and the Super Six in order to save A boxing tournament - the sport........................

    Andre Ward is nothing like Mayweather.
    Dont be so quick to judge someone, wait till the facts come out first

    Fair enough ^

    But every fighter so far in the super six has been willing to travel, in order to secure and in respect for the tournament - except Ward. Could anybody honestly see Ward go to England, Germany or EU to fight the final....?

    Good article, but there's one huge factor wich allows boxers to avoid other dangerous ones... the shattering of the World Title. Now if you don't want to fight the best in your division who has lets say the IBF and WBO title, you go for the WBA title and cherrypick away for the rest of your career.

    something else I noticed;
    To my knowledge Tunney was the first man to get $1 million for a fight, about 40 years earlier.

    Yeah true, but his management team is also to blame here.
    If he does eventually fight and beat Dirrel in a neutral venue then this whole fiasco about how hes unwilling to travel would have died out.
