From the outside looking in kovalev

    Hits harder
Fought a much better level of opposition

I guess ggg has caught on with the U.S. fans abit more more but kovalev is pretty much the baddest boxer walking the face of the Earth atm and I thought hbo would be pushing him to the casuals a lot more, his point and laugh at pascal will go down in boxing legend :bbb

I'm a fan of both but Kovalev certainly did not fight a "much better level opposition". In fact he still has a lot of guys like Adonis, Beterbiev, Brahmer, Monanghan etc to clear up the division whereas GGG is left with noone but Cotto who doesn't want to fight. GGG is a more established boxer as he turned pro 3 years before Kovalev and has won more fights. So it's only natural he's regarded slightly higher.

Not so sure HBO does favor GGG that much. Kovalev has had 6 fights aired while GGG is at 7 and he does draw slightly higher ratings than Kovalev. They are both dynamic fighters that fight frequently and draw viewers so I highly doubt one is considered anymore valuable than the other at least up to this point.

Who's the world champion Kovalev faced? 50 year old Hopkins or Pascal or the Cleverly idiot? Kovalev did not duck anyone, that's not my point, but he still hasn't faced the top opposition in the division whereas GGG cleared his division straight. Kovalev's best win to date remains Pascal who's more or less the "Martin Murray of LHW". People exaggerate things a lot.

HBO doesn't fawn over GG more than Kov. Kov beat Hop and Pascal. Two clear threats. GG hasn't cleared anything out yet foh.

GG hasn't come close to facing a Hop or Pascal type challenge. I love Kov way more than GG. Everyone loves so called ko artists until they are hit back. GG hasn't been hit back yet or been under fire.

No offense but you guy's sound f*cking stupid Kovalev resume take's a huge dump on GGG's that shouldn't even be an argument. GGG has fought bottom of the barrel guy's and the 2 top 10 guy's he actually did fight wouldn't even be there in a semi decent MW scene.

GGG is a cool fighter/prospect, but you GGG fan's need an IQ check or something trying to pass of guys like Murray, Rubio as something special. This dude's best win is probably Geale that's not the stuff that makes great's.

I don't really see that at all. Seems a bit of a reach to say HBO favors one over the other more. From my viewing, they seem to enjoy both equally.

How people consider Hopkins a top level opposition at this age is beyond me. And Murray was absolutely nothing short of Pascal in any aspect.

Ggg holds one version of a middleweight belt yet cleared out the division, Hasent kov won every belt bar the wbc at the weight? And that's only because Stevenson ran to showtime, how the hell is that not clearing out a division,
