Fully agreed, word for word. This is the nuance that a biased fanboy will not understand. I don't understand why people disrespect themselves by not holding themselves to a higher standard in understanding and in critical thinking.

Here's a thread detailing what people thought of Pacquiaos chances against the likes of Cotto, Hatton, DLH, Marg etc. etc.

The man started his career at junior flyweight FFS. What he managed to accomplish at the higher weights is truly the stuff of legends.

Exactly. The only reason why anyone would think Pac has a chance against any of these guys is because...he's prime Pacquiao - they forget the fact that he's the small aggressive fighter and like one of the posters said, history shows that they virtually all never get to successfully do that.

Take the natural 122lber Wilfredo Gomez for example, an ATG. Once he moved up to 126lbs, he faded.

Lol Pacdbest is actually a reincarnation of Nostradamus. Pacdbest is probably a multimillionaire after betting his house on Pac's victory.

Never thought of this before, but reading his posts made me think that me and Dealt_with are actually going to be immortalised on forums as a result of the ranting and raving (that Jim Lampley once spoke of) about Lomachenko and the ATG greatness he'll go on to achieve, before he even turned pro.

It's not quite that simple. When judging you have to consider their entire bodies of work, when they fought and the size difference. Nobody considers Hagler greater than Duran, even though he beat him, he was much larger to begin with. So I think it's more complex than you're making it out to be. I personally think their rankings aren't that far apart. Pac got out the gate faster and build up a better body of work, but PBF closed the gap near the end of his career, so honestly it's a pretty close call regarding of who has who ahead of the other.

And why is that? I would argue that it's the level of comp between these fighters that accounts for the believe. Whether PBF or better than Duran, can be debated, but what can't be debated is who has the best wins between them. Duran's win over SRL is light years ahead of any win Floyd has.

I would agree that his style has a lot to do with it, but so does his level of comp. In fact I think his level of comp has MORE to do with it than his style, and that's probably the fundamental disagreement between us.

pac beat bradley, JMM at his optimal weight classes, morales, barrera. i rank pac a little higher. the bradley win alone is more impressive than most of what floyd has done.

Oscar doesnt beat him his track record in big fights suggest that he loses. He was never going to outbox pbf how does he win? Mosley always struggles with boxers he doesn't beat pbf in his prime either
Pbf was never in the position to fight these guys in their prime not his fault. Guys like margo are trash not even worth talking about zoo was old and a showtime fighter who else?

Mayweather's greatest win was the Jose Luis Castillo rematch.
Duran's greatest win was Sugar Ray Leonard, or even Iran Barkley (a match up of a natural lightweight against a big middleweight whilst being shot fat and old lol).
    Go figure...
