Why do Idiots think Floyd Mayweather had more talented than a prime Roberto Duran?

Reflexes aren't overrated when you combine them with the skill and ring iq of pbf dummy. :deal You sound like a novice on boxing.

Change speed and reflexes to running and holding then I'll hold my hand up and claim Floyd as thee God at those gifts.

Lol you've had enough internet for today.

Maidana-Mayweather 1 was a draw. For Maidana to win that fight by a wide margin, all he had to do was point-score to win, the same way Floyd point-scores to win. Maidana simply needed to be the type of coward Alvarado was when he couldn't hack the 'fight' with Rios so gave up on the fight and chose to outpoint him instead.
But Maidana is not about winning in such an easy way. That way has no mastery to it.

The theme I see is that Duran took on everybody even when he was in terrible condition and many weight classes too small with a very small frame, and had taken on GOAT level fighters in ability.

The theme I also notice is that Mayweather quits the sport when there are at or near prime stylistic threats.

What does Mayweather have to his name? A semi-shot Pacquiao who was slow, lost his killer instinct, been KTFO, war-torn, aggressive thus ring age is ancient, no more passion for the sport, and injured.

Who cares what judges think? Mayweather got beaten vs Castillo and most people agree on that.

Duran is a Top 10 ATG in terms of greatness. Let's not get it twisted.

I stopped reading right here. You don't know **** about boxing nor do you know how to score a fight. Your agenda couldnt be more obvious. There's no way on earth that maidana won 6 rounds he did Nothing in the second half of that fight. He won 4 or 5 rounds at best.

Everything about Floyd is overrated. He really lost against two average face first brawlers. Where was his IQ, reflexes and skill then? Truly gifted gladiators don't run from neanderthals.

But he didn't lose no matter how much you wish he did and he beat both twice 49-0:hi: At least he wasnt face first on the mat with a highlight ko loss against hearns:lol: or losing to the likes of laing or getting a boxing lesson at the hands of Benitez or apart of the biggest quit job in the history of sports in no mas. When you search Duran the first thing you see is no mas most people will remember him for that.:yep

Apparently, you've had enough internet for the day as well. A draw for Maidana is kind of stretching it. Mayweather-JLC could have been called a draw, or up to a 7-5 win without that much complaint...but it could just easily been a 7-5 win for Mayweather (which it turned out to be on my card). A close, either-way fight is not a robbery, regardless of how many times you claim it to be.

Also, calling Alvarado's decision to box (and punch) in the second fight with Rios cowardly comes across as the worst kind of trolling. It evokes an image of someone who spends less time watching boxing and more time masturbating to movies like "300". I thought you weren't going to engage in such behaviour, Gaul. I'm terribly disappointed with you, and trust that you'll do better in the coming year. :bart

That said, I think peak Duran (DeJesus III) certainly equals peak Floyd (Corrales) in terms of skill-set, and is definitely the harder puncher. Floyd might have an edge in hand speed and his D was a bit more multi-layered. Still, edge Duran, on the whole. Not by a really wide margin, though.

Floyd never fought that level and never would because he's a coward :scaredas:

When I search Duran the first thing I read is top 10 ATG :hi:

Floyd is and always will be but the dust on which Duran walks :deal

Pbf is the best fighter of the era undefeated and a top 3 atg defensive fighter. He never gave you the satisfaction of being ktfo or even knocked down or quit like a ***** and take that L like Duran gave me.:yep he did it his way and is the highest paid athlete in the world today while Duran is eating cat food in panama fat old and bitter. 49-0 deal with it.:hi:

Well you're right man. He did always find a way to win, he did in fact always win his fights. But none of them were classic showdowns between an elite fighter in his prime.
