First he is blatantly robbed in disgusting fashion in his fight against Cintron, then one of the judges in his fight against Williams scores it against him by the ridiculously wide margin of 119-110? Martinez has gotten ****ed over in his last two fights, not that he was robbed in the Williams fight, but had that judge been at all competent that fight probably would have been scored a draw.

To me Martinez took a close decision the Judge with the wide berth of scores needs to find a new job

Just the business of boxing, foreigner with no established name never gets a decision.

Guessing from here on out Martinez won't get the shaft anymore though. This "loss" has given him the opportunity to win future decisions.

I had Williams 115-113. but martinez deserves credit and should have never been disrespected with that 119-110 score. It discredits both guys to have such a decision.

I think if the fight had been 115-113, 115-113 for Williams and a draw, people wouldn;t be complaining as much...

I to had Martinez up . By 2 points.
I wouldn't griped EXCEPT for that judge. Shows me that it was a bit of a fix due to a name that HBO is trying to build.

I definitely want to see a rematch.
I have a feeling it wont happen. Reason being is I think the Williams camp will feel that of the 2. Martinez will get better. BUT why not at 154 for Martinez's title.

I still don't think Williams is all that but I have more respect
for him now as he showed heart and determination. Lucky for him he is over a head taller than Martinez.

Definately not as much. however i think Martinez won that fight clearly.
Yuo can say Williams won it on activity but come on. Williams was getting hurt over and over again. He was eating monster shots. Yes he landed more but they were pitty pat punches.

Also That was a Martinez who was a replacement.
I wonder what a fully trained Martinez would do to PW.

Pitty pad? Watch the 4th round please thank you. And watch the rest of the rounds Williams won and you tell me again Martinez wasn't hurt.

I think Martinez was especially impressive considering, as some have already stated, he took the fight on short notice and also Williams has more experience at the weight they fought at. Williams has had a few fights at middle-weight recently, Martinez only one fight there in his entire career, years ago, against a nobody.

I'm not supposed to talk about this and might get banned and/or killed, but anyway:

There's a secret club for judges who during the centuries developed their own special language and "Maravilla" means "F*ck your mother" in Judgean language. They also use numbers as coded writing, "1-1-9-1-1-0" means "Well, f*ck you too!".

I feel for Martinez man, he keeps doing the job and these incompetent or crooked judges keep screwing him over.

WEll not technically pitty pat punches but to say Martinez was hurt no.
The only thing i was worried about was Martinez losing from being exhausted. Not hurt. PW is just not a guy thats gonna KO the top guys. However Martinez if he hadnt gotten so crazy would have TKOd PW. He needs to work on finishing fighters.

He doesn't speak English, has no US fan base, is not someone with huge marketability in the US, is South American fighting out of Spain, etc. Also, he was clearly the underdog for both Cintron and PW fights. Him beating PW would not have been "good" for boxing if you analyze it from the market and economics viewpoint since PW is becoming a major star in the sport. Sergio wasn't getting any close decision vs PW.

I think it is his style that puts judges against him. He's a great fighter but judges usually look for the agressor and ignore the fact that most punches thrown from the agressor to very good defensive fighters don't land.

theres actually no rationale excuse as to why impartial judges would be against him, but, the reality is that impartiality does not exist in boxing judging..
