because Vitali was slightly ahead other than cuts.

Who knows who would have won if it hadn't been stopped.

Because He made at beginning Lewis British ***s to know who's in charge in thar fight. We all know It is NOT Vitali Who has been Knocked the **** out by journeymen several times and was never even down and propably wasnt going be down in that fight also.

It was only matter of couple of rounds And Lennox would have find himself from ***** Streets knocked the **** out cold, Again

McCall and Rahman are still contenders today! Doesn't speak much for the current heavyweight scene.

Hmm, because he wasn´t. When trying to be objective mo one knows what would have happened if the fight would not have been stopped on cuts. Lewis won fair and square but it was a hell of a fight...

I just don´t get is that most brits deny Vitali credit for the fight...

All I need to know is that a 37 year old Lennox that was in the worst shape he's ever been beat a prime Vitali.

I am a Lewis fan but he got lucky. It is possible in boxing to win a fight without proving yourself as the better man. Cuts are overrated as an injury, they look horrible, yes, but they are superficial skin injuries nevertheless. The Holyfield - Bowe fights did far more invisible real damage to the fighter's health. Lennox looked more faigued than Vitali at the end of round six. It could have gone either way. Lennox never spoke about retirement before and opted to retire instead of cashin in 15 million dollars for a rematch. No shame in it, he had a great career, but Vitali would have never been an easy opponent for him.

They were journeyman just like Sanders & Brewster were...............at least Brewster beat Golota quickly so Wlad isn't the only good win on his resumé. Who else did McCall beat? How about Rahman?
