why are the klitschko brothers treated like royalty in europe? theres always a media circus around them and whenever they prepare for upcoming fights they are treated like kings.
i know they are from ukraine but they are recognized all over europe.

i mean the weigh in for klitschko/rahman fight is in a castle...whats up with that?

They are not really treated like royalty here, but they started their pro reign in germany and did pretty well. The Klitschkos are a phemomenon. Now the two best HW in the world, very likable, humble guys. They do much charity work also and have a Doctor title. It´s that complete package that get´s the treated that way. :)

This has nothing to do with being treated good. Politics is a whole different world. Not everybody who is very recognizable and very well treated gets to be a politician because people don't vote for the ones that are popular but instead for good politicians.

Whenever you see the Klits, especially Wlad he is involved in charity work and as another poster noted he doesn't just write checks or raise money. I saw him in a brief documentary over in Africa working with people building a huge relief center for the distribution of food and medicine to the local inhabitants. The guy is always promotiong charity work of one sort or other. In fact the slob, David Haye crudely interrupted Wlad at a charity event when he bolted up the stairs and made a complete ass of himself by calling Wlad out. Wlad had to explain to the thuggish ****** Haye that some things were more important than David's ego. He's treated like royalty because Europeans sense greatness and appreciate it.

They are both heavyweight champions of the world and both world class fighters. They, especially Wladimir dominate the division so they naturally they are treated like royalty over there. If they where American HBO would be giving them both the royal treatment as that network is only interested in American fighters. Boxing is much more popular in other parts of the world than it is here in the US. Europe treats two great athletes like royalty while some of the US's networks and fans celebrate fat out of shape fringe contenders and future gatekeepers.
