simple. look at how klitschkos, pacman, de la hoya, jermaine taylor etc act,

then look at how hopkins, toney, mayorga, shannon taylor, mayweather act,

and you'll find one group act with class and respect for everyone around them, while the other group act like 2 bit pimps.

    there's your answer.

and uppercut, royalty kick ass. if they didn't the world as we know it today wouldn't exist. instead we'll still be chasing each other around with clubs made outta bones and running from tigers :good

Wlad is the best HW out there, even if the HW divison sucks, he is the best for 3-4 years now.And he has such a great personallity. So he deserves to be treated with respect.

Because their 'Heavyweight Champions', its a big deal. They are bigger in Germany than anywhere else though, in Britain I wouldnt say many outside of the normal sports fans know who they are.

Klitschko's established themselves in Germany. Umm, Wlad won gold in the Olympics so the spotlight was on him. Both of them are also huge and have phd's which work in their favor.

Simple... Places like Europe, Britain & Asia regard their athletes and stars with a lot more class and respect than what we do here in the USA..... The USA is only interested in "Popular" activity..... The USA gets caught up in too many fads, etc..... If a pop star here in the States doesn't have a new hit single on the charts, he or she will be playing to a half filled arena..... In the states, it's all about "What Have You Done For Me Lately." I swear to Christ, Americans will turn their back on a MOFO in a heartbeat if they ain't getting anything in return..... Look, I'm a U.S. Citizen... However, that doesn't negate the fact that we are PRICKS!!:hat

Because in Germany, boxing actually is a big sport where the champions are respected. Simple as that. Just like how the heavyweight champion in the USA was looked up upon for the better past of the last century...

Why are they treated like royalty?

    - Germany still loves boxing
    - Klitschko's are intelligent and educated (multi-lingual as well)
    - Generous
    - Media Savvy
    - Good Physiques / always in shape
    - don't say stupid things all the time
    - they're the best HW fighters in the world today

    • Honestly, even John Ruiz gets treated very well in Germany! ;-)_

Because as true sportsmen and role models they deserve to be treated as royalty.

They have a large fanbase, the whole eastern block considers them one of them, and the Germans consider them German - for reasons unknown. They also consider Abraham, Lucas Podolski, and Miroslav Klose German even though they obviously aren't.

The Germans here can confirm what you wrote.

They are the HW champions and they carry themselves respectfully, they deserve to be treated like a royalty even in the States.

Bull****, no one considers the Klitschkos German they are always refered to as Ukrainian. Abraham and Podolski are immigrants with German passports, so if we wouldn't call them German you would call us racist. Klose is German every way you look at it. He is ethnic German and has a German passport, he happened to be born in Silesia which now belongs to Poland but was German for centuries and which still has a significant German minority.
