I think " clutching at straws " to be a more apt descript, although i do agree " talking shyte " has a nice, and somewhat all too familiar ring to it.

I know you are a big Marciano fan ,I also know you are realistic and down to earth about his chances stylistically against some of the big heavy hitting guys that followed him.For that I take my hat off to you!

you being a John Thomas again?

So you endorse some 190 pounders being competitive with 230 pounders too?

After all You are endorsing 215 pounders being big enough to compete/dominate 260 pounders.

You would one of the two worst and most aggravating posters i have ever witnessed in here that try to put on a serious front.

You are an out and out dishonest liar and have been scolded on this point too many times to count.

Here we have a perfect example of your standard form.

You have firstly challenged me of claiming 220 guys have a chance with 260 guys but saying 190 guys have no chance with 220 guys.

Firstly please provide evidence of me saying 190 guys have no chance against 220 guys.

Secondly in the very next post you are now asking me to endorse 190 pounders being competitive with (not 220 pounders but) 230 pounders! Whether it matters or not i clearly stated 220 and now you are just out and out lying as usual. Not only that but my comment that 220 pound guys can compete with anyone in the division today has now been dishonestly stated as 215, whether it matters or not.

You are an absolute shocker and a disgrace to honest debate and information.

yes, what was so dishonest, shocking or outrageous about that? You think one group of fighters can give away 40lb and dominate but not another? And on a thread aimed at making me look the idiot? Aimed at me because I defend or make a case that a fighter 30lb lighter shouldn’t be entirely ruled out? Isn’t this hypocritical in the very extreme?

Well you were agreeing with Mcvey who said:
    To which you replied:
so he’s quoting Ward who used 215, to which you said “exactly” which I assume means the 215, you later use 220 as a size that “conceivably dominates everyone right now”. So I am this big liar for including the extra 5lb you agreed with??

yes. Dishonesty stated right after your wholehearted agreement?

    not At all.

because there is an enormous difference between 215 and 220 right after you said “exactly” when Mcvey quoted ward as saying 215 was enough?

so when you accuse me (in a filthy way I might add) of talking nonsense, I’m an absolute disgrace when I respond?

    Isn’t that so very polite.

yes, not content with one nasty remark you continued with this on a thread aimed at me, where I dare not respond in case I get called a dishonest liar who talks “shyte” what a fair and wonderful thread!

Just as well I have a very thick skin and a sense of humour.

And a sense of humour! :sisi1

And I’d have to have a sense of humour to accept only one size of guy can give away 30lb.

Again - please provide evidence of me claiming a 190 pound fighter has no chance against a 220. You've very clearly claimed it.

    Put up or shut up.

My only comment is that judging records is debating facts,

h2h is really ideology, or even to a degree religion. It becomes what one believes.

Exactly. Let’s debate facts and Fact based theories. Like you say h2h nobody can be wrong. There is no need to attack people for their beliefs or get upset with plausible theory (supported by facts) that anyone disagree with.

If a guy at only 220 was capable of dominating than why hasn't it happened in the last 21+ years? Its been more than 2 decades since anyone under 240 pounds was able to dominate. The only lineal champ under 240 since then was Hasim Rahman at 237 who did not manage a single title defense. It seems like people are unhappy at the thought that 70s heavies couldn't compete today so come up with arguments that fly in the face of actual facts.

The guy who eventually relieved Wladimir Klitschko of his title was 6'8 and 247 with an 85 inch reach. Why couldn't any of the smaller heavies he faced pull it off?
