Why do Mexican boxers look soft?

    I'm Mexican, but I have noticed this. Not all Mexicans look soft. De la Hoya looked in good shape. But if you look at Arreola or Juan diaz, you see what I'm saying. Another example is Cain Velasquez. He is known for his extreme conditioning, yet he looks soft, an undefined.

    each person has a different genetic makeup.
    how many mexican fighters are there that are cut?
    plenty
    beautiful bodies dont make great fighters

    I don't think it is "soft" it is just that their bodies and skin hold fat a certain way. The proof is in the pudding as far as conditioning and punching power.
